I understand that with WD drives at least, the Humax has a problem with SATA III drives and you need to jumper them to restrict the interface to SATA II.

I bought a Seagate Pipeline HD 1TB drive (SATA III) a couple of weeks back, unaware of this issue. According to Seagate it has no jumpers to enable it to be restricted to SATA II operation - although I have my doubts as the support people were clueless and first said that all Pipeline drives are SATA II (which clearly they aren't) and then that they don't have jumpers (mine does!).

Anyway, does anyone know if a Seagate Pipeline SATA III drive will work? Is anyone using one in their FOXSAT HDR?

Why don't you pop it in and see? The drive might automatically reduce its speed down to SATA II. The worst thing that would happen is that it doesn't work?

Exactly what most would do.
