Is it worth spending lots on a iPhone 4s case?
Just bought an iphone 4s and im protecting it as if its my child.
Looking at some cases, is there much point in spending £30-40 on a case when I can get one for just £5? Thanks |

I usually try to find a decent case and don't mind paying a bit more it. The way I see it is why have a £600 beautiful looking phone then stick a couple quids work of cheap ill thought out plastic around it.

fair point. Think I'll spend around £20 but not much more than that.

The Apple bumper cases work really well. Not a single scratch on mine.

Had my 4S for about a month, and I've generally hated every case I've tried. What is interesting is how the screen is wearing - and it is definitely wearing. It does take a seriously close look to see the damage, but it is very definitely there - and its worn more in the last month that my Nokia 808 has in over 4 months. And both tend to live in the same pocket. Maybe not quite the same quality of gorilla glass used on both? To the OP, I'd suggest just browsing around - if you see a case you like, buy it. Be that in one of those high street stalls, or a web shop like mobilefun. |

Up to you, but I dropped my work iPhone the other day and the screen is decimated.
But then it's the umpteenth time I've dropped it so must have hit a sweet sport or something. |

I bought a clear plastic case for my 4S which has the advantage that unless you are holding the phone it looks naked so it's design is clearly visible. Only cost be about £5-£6 from Amazon.
However, it does show up lots of scratches on the case (on the back) which makes me realise that a case is essential as I haven't ever dropped my phone so just general wear and tear of being put in and out of pockets etc. |

I bought a cheap gel case for my S3 and it's as good as the more expensive ones.
I think unless you are very clumsy and get something like the Otter box there is not much difference between them. |

I was forever buying cheap cases on eBay for my iphone/note. They would arrive and I wouldn't like them or after a few months they would start to wear out. What I do now is buy an expensive good quality case. I find that the more expensive cases tend to be better quality and last a lot longer.

Personally I just get cheapo bumpers for a few quid and replace every few months when they start getting loose or fading.

Think it was less than £4 delivered. |
