Still thinking back to Carrie at the service seated at one end of the room but anxiously looking back and across at Brody, eye signals between them then a nod from him, after which she quickly got up followed by him? For what reason ? Surely not just for a quick snog ?

Mike didn't seem too happy when Brody handed Jess on a plate to him ? His muttered "F**k " wasn't a sign he was best pleased

What I saw was that when Brodie gets out the car and puts his jacket on the keys are visibly hanging from his right hand. Then he shakes hands with that Army officer and the keys have gone. Did he hand them to him?

But it was Carrie that motioned for him to leave the Memorial Service, so if she hadn't done that would he have left?

I am none the wiser who is good and who is bad. Roll on S3.

See that would anger alot of people and put the US at more risk of follow up attacks. In principle I see your point but in theory its too risky.

I think they exchanged a glance / rolled eyes as Estes was (talking shite) about the VP. She wanted to let him know she chose him over CIA

Wow, great ending too a shaky season. I still stand by that it was Brody who did the attack but so many unanswered questions, I hope they resolve them and simply don't forget about them. Can't wait for season 3! Hopefully it will be as great as season 1 and not be such a mixed bag like the second season was.

Strange that Carrie felt the need for a backup plan to escape at some point from the CIA.

It may not have been to escape from the CIA, rather to just escape from SOMEone.

One thing I'm curious about is Quinn. It doesn't seem possible that he held off killing Brody just out of the "goodness of his heart". I still find him a puzzle. He speaks perfect Arabic (not entirely unusual for a CIA operative, I admit) but he always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Even how he happened to be pulled in from the field to work on this case with Saul, Carrie, and Estes was a bit suspicious. I think either he'll turn out to be a real jerk or else Carrie's best friend.

I can't imagine how this can go on for 2-3 more series, however. It's going to turn into that series years ago in America ("The Fugitive") where a man was on the run, trying to prove his innocence when framed by "the one-armed man".....

Only on the penultimate episode but I really want to punch Brody's daughter very hard. Possibly one of the most irritating characters on television. Apart from "bug eyed psycho carrie" of course

If it was to escape from somebody other than the CIA, wouldn't the CIA itself have provided everything. The false id was obtained outside of her CIA work. I suppose it could just be a plot device as a way of evading being found and of no real other significance.

They really screwed over Galvez this season.

Wow, I really didn't see the attack coming. But I did mirror Carrie's "oh ****" when Brodie noticed his car had moved!

So many questions, though. And still the ambiguity over Saul...convenient or coincidence that he happened to be on an aircraft carrier when the bomb went off? I still don't think he's a mole, but they're certainly not making it easy to completely discount him.

Did anyone notice that Brodie went outside when moving from the ceremony?

Surely, if even a massive explosion took place at Langley, the security guards would not fail to notice anyone driving away. So how was Carrie able to drive away and come back undetected?

Good finish to a good 2nd season although not better than the first. Brodie did the car bomb well thats my gut feeling. When he was with Carrie at there hideaway he goes to pray at the river and places the towell on the floor. With AN now dead and the memorial taking place the next day Brodie now feels the time is right to act after all in Season 1 he didnt go through with the plan. Another theory is that Quinn set of the bomb after all he was watching Brodie non stop with Carrie so Brodie may in fact be innocent. Estes and Quinn were in on killing Brodie to cover there own ass when Quinn decided not to kill Brodie he tells Estes and then thats it mission over. But Quinn knew Estes,Carrie, and Brodie would be at the memorial therefor what better way to take everyone out in one go with only one problem Saul wasnt there but did Quinn know Saul wasnt there.

I just hope the CIA are more switched on in reality.

I know its fiction but they are stretching their incompetence to new levels.

thats gonna be the biggest plot hole for me going into season 3

how on earth are they going to explain away her absence in the aftermath of the attack before just walking back in and saying "hi" , especially when they are aware of her relationship with brody

I know these types of guys are always played as cold, but is it so hard to see him as being "the guy that shoots bad guys". I could understand him not killing Brody. I mean, who has Brody really killed? Brainwashed killer? Evil bomb maker? Mass murdering politician? Hardly evil, despite what he "almost" did. Also, I may be seeing things wrong, but I swear he had feelings for Carrie. Plus, y'know that Quinn would have been the "loose end" knowing what he knew. Something would have happened to him.

Oh and Saul. There's something VERY dodgy there. Suspected him for ages.

I wonder how Quinn is feeling now, knowing that he could have prevented it all. Regardless of whether Brody was actively involved in the execution of it, his presence at the ceremony was required for it to work.

On the Sky information about the episode, it says "Saul is given a secret mission"

Unless I'm being really thick and missed it, was there a mission? Or do they mean the burial of Nazir, but that's hardly secret

Surely it would be secret to anyone that wasn't involved in it before it happened. I don't remember Bin Laden's burial at sea being announced before it happened.

Well I thought it was actually a decent ending and has certainly given them somewhere to go with it - how long for, I don't know. I suppose it would be interesting if they spent S3 trying to clear Brody's name only for the big twist to be that it was him all along.

I suppose, thinking logically, it's the only way they can really go. Estes obviously wanted him dead, so could certainly have conceived the plot to frame him, but at the cost of his own life ?

As Quinn said, he's not going to rise politically, so he's no threat to anyone so in that respect, there's no need for anyone to frame him.

I suppose there's a chance we could have a "new" Nazir. I guess we've seen it enough times in the news about major terrorist targets being killed or captured and their second in command steps up to take their place, so i guess if they want to be factually accurate, they could simply introduce Nazir's number two as the new main villain who was responsible.

It would be a leap though, so, for me anyway, it really only leaves one way they can go with this and that is that it is Brody after all.

I'm kind of glad it's done for now though as I was starting to get seriously irritated with Dana, and also even moreso with Carrie as well. If there had been any more episodes, I may even have dumped the show because she just irritated me that much

i'm not sure how it could be brody tho

if he was behind it he surely wouldn't arrange to have the video he made before the original suicide attack released and not sure what his motive would be either as it was always walden that was his target who was already dead

would be too much of a leap for me to have so much of brody's character development into the bad guy be all about walden for him all of a sudden to then have just used that as a ploy to blow up the CIA

she really grates on me so much, she is probably why Mike did not look so happy to be given the go ahead by Brodie, she has scowled her way through both series

I think the actress is doing a brilliant job - she was superb again in yesterday's episode. Sure there's a lot of scowling, but hey she's a teenager who has killed someone who has figured out that her dad's a terrorist. I'd cut her some slack, personally.

If Brody was the one behind the bombing at Langley, why didn't HE have an escape route set up? No, it was Carrie who had that organised. That is why I am not sure that Brody was the bomber. Also, wouldn't they have CCTV overlooking the car park where Brody put his car? Surely that didn't get blown up in the explosion. If it is OK there will be footage of whoever moved the car.
