I was just going to say this - but not necessarily 'nude' - I think she must have a 'no nudity/no topless' clause in her contract going by how Carrie behaves clothes-wise in this show! Probably something to do with Danes being A-list meaning that she can dictate terms in such a way.
Claire Danes does indeed have a ‘no nudity’ clause in her contract, which is why you’ll never see her in anything less than her bra and knickers, even in the sex scenes. I don’t think any other actors/actresses in the programme have such a clause, which is why some sex scenes do have nudity (like Brody’s wife).

Brody's wife and children are not welcome at their church and the Marine Corps has cut the financial benefits that they had received by virtue of his service in the Corps.

The American public believes that Brody carried out the Langley attack. However, I cannot understand why his wife and children would be blamed for it.
I don't think they blame the family, the issue is probably that the American people wouldn't accept that Brody's family didn't know, given that they had spent a lot of time together in the public eye and had access to sensitive information, given his role as a Congressman. In real life situations, the wives of terrorists are often dragged into it.

Few issues with this first episode

In S2 Carrie was only unofficially brought back to the team and was told she could never be a true CIA employee again due to her problem. In this episode she seems to be back as a full member of the team, no questions asked.

In the big operation all other teams are held back waiting for everything to be in place, yet Quinn just marches on in and kills the guy, it seemed he was going to do the same when the guy was in the car too. There was a large delay between Quinn killing the guy and getting round to sending his photo proving it which then set the rest of them off.
I agree about the Carrie bit. I thought that Saul would get out of the questions saying that no CIA agent was involved with Brody as officially Carrie isn't a CIA agent so he would be telling the truth.

As for Quinn, they decided all six targets were to go together or not at all, in case a remaining target alerted the rest of the group. The other five were locked on to their respective targets but Quinn wasn't. They waited the extra thirty seconds for Quinn, as he was the one holding them up, and then the others completed the mission.

Yes, but that was before 300 odd people were blown up at CIA HQ, including the Director and every other senior person above Saul.

Given the loss of the upper echelons, along with so many other people, I assume allowing Carrie to come back properly wasn't such an issue anymore, especially as Saul is acting Director and they need to find out who was behind the bombing etc. etc.

We don't have enough of those kind of scenes with Brody's wife.

(Just to bring the tone of the thread down a couple of notches).

Saul told Quinn he had 10 minutes to get in and out of the banker's house and complete his part of the mission. The other 5 were on standby until Quinn reported back. When the controller told Saul '10 minutes is up' he told them to give Quinn another 20 seconds and that's when the 'jpeg uplink with encrypted message' came through. I doubt we were seeing it in 'real time', it's not '24', and it would have taken Quinn time to encrypt the message before sending I'm guessing.

Shall we take bets on how many episodes it will be until she gets her boobs out this season?

With Mike and Brody off the scene it could be a long wait. There don't seem to be any other gentlemen callers on the horizon at the moment.

I've always thought Brody's wife has quite a strange body - a tiny head, a long neck and very sloping shoulders (like a Cluedo piece ).

I think Quinn and Carrie might get together at some time (if only for a "quickie" on the stairs) and Rupert Friend doesn't seem to have a "no nudity" clause (judging by series 2 ).

Anyway....back to counter-terrorism....

Seeing as he isn’t in season 3 as his character was killed of in the season 2 finale, and when ‘Is it Something I Said?’ was recorded Homeland season 3 was still in production (and may still be), I think it’s safe to assume it was a joke.
The guy wasn't talking about David Harewoods character, he seemed to be giving it away on Brody.

Who needs gentleman callers? She has blown her whole bank account on a new bathroom surely she will spend the days in there with a cadburys flake and some luxury silky smooth soap bars.

Also a wee bug bear of mine, Carrie has a big massive where's Brody wall, surely the guy she shagged would have been like WTF thinking it was his Jed Maxwell moment.

219 were killed in the explosion at the CIA HQ. I was surprised when the senator who interrogated Carrie mentioned that the Attorney General was one of those killed.

The major question that remains is: Who moved Brody's car to the vicinity of the hall were the memorial service for Vice President Walden was taking place?

We don't know if body moved the car or not. That's what I love about the show. You can't trust anyone

Sorry, I haven’t seen ‘Is it Something I Said?’ yet, its on my Sky+, so I was assuming that it was David Harewood who said the potential spoiler. Who said it then?
Like I said earlier, I’d be amazed if it were anything more than a joke as ‘Is it Something I Said?’ was recorded a while a go when this season of Homeland was still in production, and even with that aside I don’t know how anyone would know such a spoiler as no one on the programme is involved in Homeland in any way anymore.

Yes I agree, very weak characters and his moaning faced daughter is awful.

I was disappointed with episode 1 of the new series. Very dull, and boring. Brody is only in a few episodes of this series, and I've read that even he thinks it has reached the end of the road.

I've actually stopped caring about both main characters. If we could have the show about Saul and Quinn I'd love it.

Gotta agree about Brody's family though, Dana annoys me and Chris is just pointless.

I think the show has definitely lost a lot of viewers though, last season I had to avoid Twitter on Mondays to make sure I didn't get inadvertently spoiled when everyone was downloading it after US viewing whereas I was waiting until RTÉ aired it on Tuesdays but this time around no one seems to be bothered.

Help ! I recorded Homeland on Sunday and has just accidently deleted it before we got a chance to watch it. Does anyone know if it's repeated later in the week or are we resigned to watching it on OD. Thank you

Apparently not. Your case is one of many where viewers miss an episode of a series. Others are a power-cut at the time of broadcast or simply forgetting about it. That's what online TV on-demand services are for.

Brody genuinely seemed to be surprised when he noticed that his car had been moved.

Furthermore, it has been commented that something about Saul doesn't gel. The idea that he could be in league with Islamic terrorists (I'm just speculating!) makes no sense because he's Jewish and Islamists hate Israel.

From Carrie's notepad:-

How did the bomb get in Brody's car.
When did it move.(and of course who moved it).
How come nobody saw it move - CAMERAS???(In red ink).
An inside job. If not how did they get past security.
Frame Brody whilst destroying the CIA.
My meds have dulled my ability to see.

Carrie thinks Brody is innocent of the bombing so is asking all the right questions. She is the lone dissenting voice - again. Everyone else thinks Brody did it.

If you have Sky+ or Virgin Media you can 'restore' it using the correct menus. Otherwise, you'll have to use 4OD.
