He never has been, but then he's not part of the principal cast. My point is that if Morgan Saylor and Morena Baccarin weren't major characters in the main credits, they would probably have been written out. I'm sure the Dana/Leo storyline will somehow relate back to one of the main plots eventually, but for now it feels like filler and I'm personally struggling to care about the story at all.
I just don't see why they even needed the family to have a brother in it, if they were never really going to use him.

He had that one storyline last season, but that seems to have been just put in there as a way to use him, rather than it being an important plot point.

This season, he should have just gone off somewhere else, as keeping him for the odd quizzical look, is just pointless.

And he seems remarkably well adjusted given what's happened to Brodie and Dana's reaction to it. Although I guess he never really knew Brodie like she did.

He still gets listed in the main cast and in fact gets billing above Morgan Saylor(although I'm guessing that's an alphabetical thing) despite not even appearing in Sunday's episode.

I am also bored with this teen story but thought it did give an insight into how Dana feels, she said that everything her father has said to her since she was eight had been a lie, but now they both need locked up and the key thrown away.

They couldn't arrange a time and place as she wouldn't know when she would be able to get away and spending 5 hours making sure she wasn't followed.
so .... all the more reason not to risk going to his house and speaking outside then .

According to what we what have learned about spying from both fact and fiction over the last forty years one of the first things that spies learn is how to establish a secret and secure way of communicating with each other and with their contacts. Codes, dead letter boxes, disposable mobile phones etc etc.

Carrie and Saul are both very experienced CIA spies but for some unexplained reason they did not think of a way to communicate with each other in secret about their plan.
well put .

it was a good twist but then they spoil it by doing something so ridiculous .

.

Well if that is true, then why not just have the son killed off, as he is of no relevance whatsoever.
There's no need to have him killed off.

Most families have two children & the Brodys are supposed to be a normal family (well to begin with).

Great twist and sets the season up beautifully now. As usual in TV dramas, an ability to suspend disbelief really helps

Well if not then, he really does need to do something, as at the moment he is lacking any real purpose in being there in the show.

Yeah, I like to be different! I am not normal, seeing as I am an only child!

Hadn't ever noticed that - thanks.

Ahh, good to hear!

Why tv companies always need to have more than one sibling, and not just one child, I will never know, this show is a prime example, why not just have the daughter? What purpose does the brother actually serve???

I don't mind Chris being redundant. At least none of the precious episode time is wasted on him (unlike Dana - whose tedious storyline used up a quarter of this week's episode!).

The brother serves no purpose as far as I can see, kind of like a lot of siblings in real life

I like the fact that Claire Danes delivered the line "Do you know how Romeo and Juliet ended?"

Yes getting into the car with someone you think killed his brother only to demand to get out 5 seconds later really makes a lot of sense.

And that little drama ended sooner than I expected. What was the point of all that again?

Dana irritates me to no end. She's ruining the show. What is the purpose of her and the boy?

apparently... just to ruin the all operation by giving a reason to Carrie to mess up

Agreed. It's as if they're using Brody's family as filler at the moment. Really annoying filler. At least last year there was a loose link between Dana and Brody being discovered. Now there is nothing other than teen angst.

Yet another episode without Brody.

That's what, 4 out 5 without him in it so far?

Ah that is a good point actually.. considering what just happened. But I'm confused, how was that Carrie "messing up"? It's not as if she was seen with anyone from the CIA. I didn't understand why Carrie leaving the house was such a no no.

I am just going by what the guy says " looking in good shape (?)... must be all that yoga"...
hinting that they noticed her double at the lesson?
