Another hunting scene. What is it with the Americans? Anyway, I'm sure it's not something Saul's character would be into.

I liked Quinn's line when Saul's wife said "He's getting dressed" and Quinn replied "For what?!" Also Carrie's line to Quinn, "Shouldn't you be hiding up a tree..or something?" |

I thought that too at first, It's been stated as fact by Alex Gansa (one of the producers) that the plot had been hatched by Carrie and Saul in the wake of the bombing - i.e. before the Senate hearing started. So Carrie's reaction to Saul's testimony - she was sat alone in front of the TV, I believe - was unnecessary and therefore a deliberate mislead by the writers.
Whether it is a writing problem or a directorial one is difficult to tell, but this season is seeming very slapdash - Dana getting into the car with Psycho Boy last night only to demand to be let out again a few seconds later was painful to watch... |

why did Carrie have to sort out the Dana problem ? why didn't she just get Saul to do it , he's head of the CIA after all .

Hopefully, it wasn't a real duck used in that scene.

Still no Brody. This series is totally not what I was expecting, & for me it is a big let-down.

I hope not as they said duck season was finished so technically Saul could have made a citizens arrest on his boss to be therefore giving him a criminal record which in turn would disqualify him from the position of head of C.I.A. Maybe this will be next weeks surprise twist. |

As the Iranians set up to work with Carrie before she was released, I think if they were good little spys they would have at least bugged her house.
Also how covert was Quinn storming in, if he had a camera on Carries house would the Iranians not have had it monitored too. May be down to Smille but I prefer my spys sinister and shadowy, not manic and extrovert. |

I disagree, I wonder if Carrie will now be taken to where Brody is being held, the Iranian (?) boss guy at the house Carrie was taken to seemed to know her and the people holding Brodie said they knew Carrie. I'm only guessing but I think the Homeland writers need to bring Carrie and Brodie back together somehow and if I were the writer that's how I'd do it.
I don't mind Dana's story, she would be one mixed up kid after what she thinks her dad has done. But I'm sure they could have had Carrie going offplan in another way, I don't think even she would risk the whole operation for one stupid teenager. |

Can I just say I feel incredibly sorry for Carrie. Nobody seems to care about her, not Saul, the only one who has her back and seems to actually possess an onze of protectiveness to her is Quinn. Love Quinn. Run off and be together you too, and be free of all these vile spy people.

I think Saul's comment 'she's always been on her own' quite cold or either very prophetic. Makes me wonder ...

I'm surprised that so many people don't seem able to watch the show without Brody. To me his storyline is over, done. There are so many other ways to go, which they are starting to do now. I actually worry that the show will go downhill if writers have to come up with some ridiculous way to bring Brody back just to keep viewers happy. I mean, his credibility is gone forever, in the eyes of the world. The video he made is out there, and there's not really a way to explain it, is there? I don't mean just in this forum btw, it's especially noticeable on Twitter.

The only way I can see Brody involved is in a capture(by Quinn) and court case scenario, which would go down the Dayna and Jess soap route with a few scenes with Saul and him verbally sparring about the link between the different terrorists. Carrie and Brody won't be allowed any contact after the affair revelation. |

Next season they have Brody walking out of a steamy shower, with Jess asking why he looks so confused and to hurry up as the have a family picnic to attend.

What price him being somehow exonerated and then killed by a crazy anyway? |

Brody's only hopes of reintegration are surely (a) to play an integral and very public role in bringing down a major terrorist kingpin or, more likely, (b) for Javadi to confess publicly that Brody had nothing to do with the Langley bomb.

I'm sure they've got enough on Javaidi to blame him for the Langley bomb, but even if he exonerated Brody, the video of Brody and the fact he ran away in the first place means they couldn't use him again. I think people are disappointed as they see Homeland as Carrie and Brody rather than Carrie and the CIA. |

Unless Brody is even more deeply embedded than Carrie was and it is another Saul black op?

So Brody is stuck in Venezuela, but wasn't there some money laundering shenanigans that the Big Bad was doing that involved moving money through a Venezuelan football team? (Or did I completely misunderstand that part of the money investigation plot the other week?)

Unless Brody did have something to do with the Langley bomb - I still think he ran away a little too quickly.
Also as much as I like Farah, there's something about her. Maybe it's the long lingering looks into the camera or at photos on the noticeboard. It's like there's something personal about the Iran/Javaidi connection. |

I've only recently become a Homeland convert & maybe this is only grating on me so much due to having watched S1 & S2 back to back, but surely I wasn't the only one who watched Carrie tip all her pills down the toilet & thought 'oh fgs, here we go again'
Why would she think it's a good idea to flush her meds? Surely the last 2,3,4 times she went off them in the show is enough? I'm just wondering how we're supposed to believe that this CIA agent, this spy was stable enough to not raise flags about her sanity for 10 years & yet all of a sudden she thinks it's right to keep coming off her meds despite knowing that doing so makes her unstable? |

Carrie: "I've missed something before. I won't - I can't - let that happen again".
Saul: "It was ten years ago. Everyone missed something that day." |

Didn't the F word used to be in the opening sequence too? Haven't heard it this season, which mirrors the fall in the show from something genuinely intriguing to another 24 style 'trust no-one' routine.
Yawn. Carrie may be off her meds (again) but the show is putting me on something. I feel all tired. |

She was on her meds when 9/11 happened and blames the medication for missing it. It's referenced in the opening sequence of most episodes.
12 years ago.. she was - what - about 20 at that point? I think she says somewhere that has been with the agency 14 years... so hardly down to her to prevent the twin tower attack |

I'm enjoying this whole Carrie/Quinn thing that seems to be starting to slowly warm up on the back burner ![]() I'm not missing Brody at the moment. Although I'm hoping the whole 'Brody caused the CIA explosion' is a set up along the lines of Carries latest incarceration. That way Brody could be brought back & not have to be jailed
