Lets just ignore the obvious fact the clinic would have discovered she is pregnant. Brodie has been gone too long, she got pregnant by the one night stand(unless its Quinns, which I doubt, whatever the growing relationship they have not been up to anything). She will loose the baby ten to I, but experience will make her reevaluate her life and what she wants. Basically they seem to be going down the track of both Carrie and Quinn wanting out, but obviously without her, no show... so I do not know how they are going to resolve it. I also think Brodie is either going to die or become a top undercover agent, but he is never coming back. Maybe next season will be all him being run by Saul and Quinn and Carrie off on a farm somewhere raising babies and trying to coax Dana into being less selfish and Chris about how selective mutism is not the way forward. Homeland always surprises.

Nope. That scenario made sense. Quinn's mission then was to eliminate the banker. He had 10 minutes to get into the house amd accomplish this somehow. By creating the explosion it was almost bound to get the security guards to exit the house to see what was happening and he could then pick them off quickly and have a better chance to make his entrance and find his target.

If there is an explosion they will rally around their client...not disperse. Your assertion is honestly laughable.

We don't actually know that the pregnancy test was positive, as we didn't have a close up of it. Somebody as promiscuous & unstable as Carrie should be on contraceptives - preferably of the injectable kind.

I never really thought about it until you gave this possible explanation which, to me, makes sense. The noises/explosion were coming from outside, so the threat to the client was outside so they would investigate. Given the timeframe involved, it was a quick way of removing all the security detail around the client. The target was inside his house and presumed safe so why wouldn't they leave him? If they were exiting the house through the only exits then they would encounter any threat along the way.
Knowledge of distraction techniques seems irrelevant as the natural response would be to investigate rather than sit there analysing.

Love the Javadi character and doesn't he have some backstory with Saul?! That was unexpected! I think i'm going to like this storyline between these two. He also seems more believable than Abu Nazir and more terrifying. This is the kind of Homeland i love.
With the absence of Brody (only shown in 1 ep so far and not seen since!) this season of Homeland has really become the Saul show. Which for me is fantastic as i love Saul and that was some knockout ending that closed the episode!
Saul is brilliantly acted by Mandy Patinking and we're now seeing all these different sides to him and learning more about him which is great for the show. Allegedly next week's episode is also a cracker with more Saul v Javadi.
Carrie - did we really need to see a pregnancy test storyline included in the show? Is this the direction they're going to take Carrie now? Frankly ridiculous! Please someone get her back to doing to what she does best. Not this soap opera baby bullshit.
Dana - thank god her storyline has come to a close.....i think! Ok, so she wants to change her surname - fair enough. But to announce she's leaving the family and moving away to live with a friend out of the blue like that? Does anyone else think that was completely stupid. I think it could have been executed better.
Also nice to have seen Virgil and Max brought back in these past couple of episodes.

I'm not sure about that knowing look. Javadi knew where his ex-wife was living. Saul didn't. It's surely unthinkable that Saul would have allowed the murders to take place - he appeared to be genuinely shocked and panicked when he realised what was about to happen. So I think the logical explanation for the "looks" is that Farah understood what was going to happen a second before Saul did, and then afterwards she was concerned for Saul because of what had happened.
Prepared to be proved wrong by some awesome twist, though.

The 'Chris Brody Gets A Line' drinking game is the worst one in the world. You could watch the entire season in one hit and still drive legally.
Having checked the writing credits, I'm surprised that this season has been as poor as it has. It felt like the original writers had blown up Langley, got Brody blamed for it, then buggered off to some new series leaving their underlings to sort out the mess they'd left behind. But apparently not, it's the same people.
Unless it's an actor related problem, I have no idea why Brody has been dumped this season. It would need some creative plotting perhaps, but a) that is what the writers are paid for, and b) so far Dana has been complicit in a hit and run fatality AND springing a homicide suspect from his enforced rest home with no consequences whatsoever. Plot holes mean nothing to these people.
I'm hoping for a great twist/resolution, I really am, but have to admit I'm losing faith...
Given that as the only link to the Most Wanted Man In The World, la famiglia Brody would be under surveillance 24/7, Dana being able to mope around as she wants is a little careless...I'm treating her parts like the adverts now, and speeding past them....

Brodie's story is over. He should be dead, its not an actor/writer problem, it is that he needs to go now. The only way forward, if he is alive, is for them to continue blaming him in public and making jom some urber double agent, but they all end up dead anyway.
I do think Brody's story is taking a backseat, if not over for good.
