Sorry to double-post, but I forgot to say - so are we supposed to believe that Mira is about the same age as Saul? I must have misunderstood every scene they ever had together because I thought she was much younger than him and probably a second wife.

It's looking like the mole passed the keys to the person who was thought to have died but didn't , moved the car instead ? So where are they ? Cannot be high ups ?
I'm waiting to see Quinn get a break ! He's looking visibly distressed ?
On the other hand Saul looking like he's won the lottery , kind of . Hope his gamble with Javardi pays off.

Is it important ? I never gave it a thought but when Saul showed Javardi the photo he mentioned" the four of them" so it seemed to me that meant they and their women were together then .

DL doesn't give the plot away obviously, but towards the end of the interview he does indicate as to how much Brody may or may not feature.

Thanks for these links, worth watching, but didn't think Claire Danes interviewed well, but Damian Lewis was excellent.

Well the actor that plays Saul is 14 years older than the actor that plays Mira so I suppose it's not that unbelievable that they're supposedly roughly the same age.

I think Saul mentioned that he was 21 in the picture, so in reality Mira would have been 7.

Well, it might be important; we'll have to wait and see. For instance, if Mira was close to Javardi and his wife back then, maybe she has been in touch with one or both of them recently?

I have a theory who I think the mole is.. Just a theory mind you.

Spoiler
When Carrie asked Quinn to help her track down the mysterious bomb builder Javadi mentioned, Quinn grimaced ever so slightly, before saying ok Carrie. Keep you enemies closer perhaps. From the dialogue, it appeared they were giving us a small hint that he could be behind it all. 'wrong crime, right guy?' Maybe it has all become too much for him now. Was he working for Abu Nazir? Who knows.

When Saul showed Javadi the photo from back in the day, I thought he said it was Javadi's wife's 21st birthday. He also said that he and Javadi were old men, which could support the idea that they were both older than their partners. So maybe the two women were 21 back then, and Saul and Javadi were in their thirties?

The episode is called Gerontion, after a TS Eliot poem which is the monologue of an old man. It includes the lines

I have lost my passion: why should I need to keep it
Since what is kept must be adulterated?

which could mean the title is a direct allusion to Mira's infidelity.

(I don't actually know any of this stuff. I found it on Wikipedia)

That's one way of slipping a spoiler in unless you were asleep during the whole of last night's episode?

Spoiler
I'm wondering if that's more exasperation that she won't give up on Brody, after all Javaidi mentioned someone who was said to have perished in the bomb.

Spoiler
He is just in love with her. I think it dawned on him that she is still in love with Brody and unlikely to give it up. Carrie and Quinn are two of a kind and this current relationship is nearest either has to a conventional relationship at the moment. He's put out. Damn sight nicer to her then Brody to be fair.

Spoiler
Well yes I tend to think that too. Probably one of the driving factors behind him not killing Brody, because of how much it would destroy Carrie.

Spoiler
Don't really know when it started. I didn't he thought much of or about her last season (until last episode) but this season with every single episode I see an increasing: OMG he is in love with her. Funnily enough probably one of the most realistic relationships on the show. He knows her, he respects her, he trusts her, he is lonely, she understands his world, one day he wakes up and realises he is in love with her. Probs as simple as that. Love Quinn. Talking about him like he is a real person... but character wise, I guess that is the case

Spoiler
it's funny how differently people remember things. I thought Quinn was all set to kill Brody but was called off at the last minute by Estes. I don't know why I have put this in spoilers but I have so there!

You're right, Trudi - but that was an early scene in a car and Estes stood him down because they realised they hadn't successfully picked up Abu Nazir so they still needed Brody.

Later - ie, in a later episode - there was a scene in Estes' home where Quinn was sitting quietly waiting for him one night. I can't remember distinctly how he phrased it but he said that if Estes didn't want to find Quinn up close and unpleasantly personal in a dark place one day, he'd lay off Brody. I can't remember if his motivation for that encounter (which I loved!) was explicitly stated.

However, I'm fully prepared for someone to correct me on the precise context as I may be misremembering exact details.

ps: I think all the "spoilers" above are just speculation and don't need to be hidden. Speculation is fun and just part of sharing what we're watching.

I have my suspicions about Mira's new bit on the side. Maybe he is using her to see if he can find any secrets out about Saul etc.?

I have my suspicions about Mira, but she must have been thoroughly investigated by the CIA when she married Saul. Do Saul and Mira ever discuss his work, or is it made clear that he can't talk about it?

Spoiler
The "wrong crime, right guy" phrase, I took to be a reference to earlier this season, when Quinn went after the banker, and accidentally shot the kid...

In the interests of consistency I've spoilered my comment, despite the fact it refers to earlier episodes...

Spoiler
Quinn could have been that someone. Javadi did suggest it was one of Abu Nazir’s guys. Anyway, just a theory that Quinn was working for him. I hope not though. Javadi is no doubt just sending Carrie on a wild goose chase anyway in the hope it will put her in danger. She needs to find the lawyer first.
