I enjoyed it but missing Brody of course.

Still, a new threat is an exciting prospect, although I must have hardened my heart lately what with all the real life terrorism because I was thinking, "so they killed a terrorist and 40 guests at a wedding party - ah, f*** them all".

Good to see Carrie's mental state is a bit better...for now.

Slightly ironic that her "improved" mental state allows her to kill dozens of civilians without a troubled conscience.

Something I do not understand is how come the mob were able to break in to that car so easily, I do not think that the security services would use a regular car - surely their vehicles have reinforced glass & extra tough bodies rather than the normal version that Joe Public would walk in to a show-room & buy? Furthermore, as a high-powered 4X4 - how did it get stuck & not manage to run over the mob?

Even in an improved state I find it difficult to accept that she's been given that responsible position without Saul there covering her back as he always did .

Yeah I'm not sure whether her past experiences have allowed her to be emotionally detached or whether it's the meds she's on (which are keeping her "well").

Can someone please tell me when Homeland gets repeated either on Ch4 or Four7?

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it, as I was a massive Brody fan. However, I think he needed to be killed off, or else the show would continue to go in circles. Was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed last nights episode, hopefully it will continue in this way. I genuinely love Quinn. From the moment he was introduced I thought he was great, so I really hope he gets the chance for some good story lines this season.

I always watch with subtitles on - not only to understand them when they're mumbling, but it helps me remember names when new characters are introduced.

Really enjoyed last night's episode. Great start to the series. As another poster mentioned, it feels 'fresh' - with Carrie in a new location and some new characters. It's good to see Carrie strong and in control - although I've a feeling that won't last. I suspect it won't be long before she succumbs to the charms of Quinn (or King Arthur)!

Would you be able to work for the CIA or the US military if you had a conscience? Look at all those innocent civilians killed by air strikes in Iraq by American bombers. Carrie never had a conscience or any concern for Islamic targets until she met Brody and heard his side of the story. But he's out of the picture now so she's back to how she was. Meds probably helping to erase conscience too

Good start to S4. Looks very promising. Pity about the muffled and mumbled audio though.

I was a suprised that it was unarmoured too. I would have thought that it would at least have bullet proof glass.

The car got stuck because they were holding the back wheels off the ground. When Quinn shot out the back window they scattered and dropped the car allowing it to drive away. The only problem with that was that it was a 4x4 and the front wheels would still have had drive.

Thanks. I'm flabbergasted if that's the only repeat showing of Homeland for this new season.

Last season there was a repeat the following Monday night on Ch4 and there was also a repeat edition on 4Seven later in the week. Now we're only getting a single repeat on 4seven and that's at the weekend. Weird!

Anyone familiar with the corporals killings in Northern Ireland in 1988 would know that firing a gun wouldn't help much.

I'm probably late to this fact but it's the only TV show I watch where Mandy & Tracy are the two principle male actors.

I can see this series following the young guy's journey from innocent medical student to fanatical terrorist. They killed one high ranking terrorist but in doing so created another.

Why should there be a need to repeat any eps on Ch4? You have various means at your disposal to view any missed ep. eg, DVD recorder, 4oD catch-up, and various websites (no-names mentioned) where you can download or view missed eps in your own time..

The series is very good so far. Miss Brody and wonder if Brodies daughter will become the mother of the kid.

They fired warning shots only,(and the army rules of engagement would have been well known to the crowd) whereas in Homeland two of the attackers were shot dead at point blank range yet no one in the crowd even flinches.

How many times would the US put up with seemingly their highest anti terror agent, constantly screwing up and acting so unstable. You wouldn't mind as you have to suspend reality, but there are references to much that is or has happened and the producers are almost happy to demonstrate incompetence,
