I see Carrie's good mother act didn't last long.... That poor kid is going to grow up with severe problems.

An interesting episode in that Carrie now knows she's a target but who wants her dead ? Hated to see her having to obey her employer in a potential dangerous situation , stress levels rising . Scenes at the refugee camp showed the horror of being forced into one of these.

Alison's a real snake in the grass, sucking up to Dar Adal to get Saul out of the way.
None of us would dispute surely that the first series of Homeland was the best , but as the saying goes, we have to move on .

Quinn taking a prominent role so far anyway .”

That's a bit harsh, considering that she got shafted by Saul in the first place. I think in the world of spies and espionage, self-preservation is a priority. That's what Saul did to Alison.

Not sure about that, the people he is killing aren't linked to the leak.

Worst season so far 2 episodes into a 12-episode season? You gotta laugh!

You are correct, but the ramifications of that leak in Ep1 IS why Quinn is on this mission for Saul in Berlin.

I had a momentary moment of confusion when he first appeared, for a split second I thought it was Brodie

I haven't watched it back, but didn't we see someone doing the drop?

One thing that puzzled me was the muslim woman who was recruiting the young girls appeared to know Peter Quinn. She said his name just before he shot her. Had they been shown together at all before that moment?

Didn't notice that, I heard it as 'please'. Interesting if I misheard it.

Then shall we expect not to hear from you again
But tell us why it wasn't interesting first of all .

In fact, she said in German "Bitte...". "Please" meaning she was beseeching him not to kill her. She could tell he meant her serious harm.

If only....I so miss Damian Lewis on this show, even though I know they had nowhere to go with him.

Just speculating. I wonder if Carrie's boyfriend will turn out to be part of the plot against her and it was a set up to get her to fall for him, for reasons we don't know yet? It all seems a bit pat that he resembles Brodie so much, and he seems a bit too 'perfect' also.

I don't think something like that is random in a show like this. Or it could just be to let us know that Carrie still thinks of Brodie, and the storyline was allowing her a short spell of happy normality. More likely to be trouble.

I'm enjoying this series and happy to be taken along the new scenarios. It had to move on from the first series, and having it set in different countries is a clever way of keeping it all fresh.

Her boyfriend was the lawyer that came to get the journo from the Germans.

Certainly he bore a resemblance to the boyfriend .

Jonas Happich is legal counsel for the Düring Foundation and Carrie's boyfriend so yes. it stands to reason that the journo also working for the During foundation is represented by him.

Yes, same guy.

So, Peter and Carrie will get a reunion.
I'll be surprised if this isn't a long-game (as suggested by Hank in the hotel) being run by Saul. They did it before with Carrie's hospitalisation. It's been suggested by both Saul and Hank that something is afoot at Düring Foundation.

I've rewatched that scene three times now , exactly same colouring as Carrie's boyfriend .

Pretty sure it is, also in episode one when he opens the door to the journo at the party, they clearly knew each other.

My first instinct was that something had gone on between them and it was slightly awkward until Carrie appeared. Knowing Homeland there will be plenty of plot twists and double agents.

Who was the guy doing the drop ? He had a beard and wore a beanie hat. Wasn't Saul though.

It was Saul.
