Quinn's codename is Agent 47.

It wasn't Saul, agreed.

It was meant to appear to be Saul so as to deliberately mislead the viewers. I rewound and froze that scene to be sure and it's not Saul's face. The man doesn't wear the glasses like Saul either.

The main point though is that Saul would never sanction a hit on Carrie. Being angry with her (at the beginning of the show) was one thing, but ordering her death, via Quinn of all people, is not believable given all their histories together. I'm looking forward to see how it's all going to evolve.

The last 15 minutes saved it tonight, I was getting ready to bin this series but that was enough to make me watch next week.

I enjoyed all of it. I think I'm invested enough in these characters to see it through no matter how outlandish the plot might get. Biggest shock was Saul in bed with Alison What's happened to Mira? Also, Peter Quinn abducting a child to get to Carrie......still not sure how he would have found her?

Carrie back into her manic phase because of that wimp Jonas, argh.
Not sure I quite caught the last seconds in the dark , had she hit Quinn?
That was quite a move Saul made from the office telling off to Alison's bed?
A resume of a previous affair or a means to an end, given he sent the guy who should have stayed, back home to America ?

Why is he a wimp? There's nothing he could've done anyway; she had been off the meds three days by the time she told him and it's not like he can force her to take them. Even when he DID try to make her take them she obviously just hid the pill in her mouth even though she sort of opened it to show him she'd swallowed it.

I love that when they were planning this and the manic phase hadn't kicked in yet she said to him something along the lines of "If I get really bad just put me back on my meds". Erm....how when being sensible is the last thing she'd want to do in that state?

And yes she hit Quinn but apparently the bulletproof vest protected him although many people online are saying that was unrealistic given the distance from him and the weapon.

'Motherf*cker'! - Great last line from Quinn!

Carrying that gun Quinn was just going to scare Carrie with it and not actually kill her, right? As for kidnapping that kid! He really is living the James Bond lifestyle - spying, killing and sleeping with beautiful women! She was his lover from season 4 although I can't remember her name.

Saul, you dirty old dog you! Banging Allison. Nice little twist there.

Dar Adal, sly as ever. I don't care what anyone says but i will never trust this man!

Can you really snort caffeine and why would you want to?!

Carrie really doesn't make a good girlfriend does she - 'you're a lousy lay anyway'

Wasn't as good an episode as the previous two, a real slow burner tonight. Last 10 mins did save it for me. Really needs to up the ante now.

Same here. It seems to be drifting a bit, and concentrating on Carrie a bit too much. Actually I've forgotten what the overall plot is.....

I just want to know that the little boy will be OK, frankly I don't care about anyone else.

I'm sure he will be. It was just to force the phone call in order to get Carrie's location.

Why did Quinn ask his ex girlfriend for a Sigma (?). I'd assume a hit man would always have a supply of guns. Is there something special about that type of gun?

How frustrating is Carrie when she's off her medication! When she was having her hallucinations I was hoping Brody might make an "appearance". As for snorting caffeine - how bizarre?! Try that one in Starbucks!

Why did Numan say to his colleague that he'd handed over the rest of the leaked files? I thought Laura just found the animated picture on the stick.

Perhaps it was because he wanted a 'German' or at least different looking gun instead of a US issued weapon to 'fool' her into thinking that she was targeted by someone else?

Yeah, was hoping to see Brody too, although DL would have been a lot more expensive to get than whoever Ayan's played by.

I guess that the file Numan gave the hack was not the file he thought he was handing over and that it was changed by the other fella who's after money and trying to sell it to the Russkis?

Stingray, a device that acts like a mobile phone tower to collect phone numbers. He asked for a hand held one.

Also if he intended to kill Carrie she would be dead.

Even so, does the end justify the means these days with Quinn?. Traumatising a young lad in such a callous offhand way seems a bit out of character for him.

Even if Quinn doesn't lay a finger on him & he's physically fine, he will be psychologically damaged by the ordeal, poor thing.

yes, a hitman with a conscience if we are to believe he wanted to quit the CIA in series 4 because he accidentally killed a child. He defied an order to kill Brody because of his conscience too. Though I have to admit that having a conscience isn't a great asset for a hitman.

You really shouldn't be watching Homeland if you're that sentimental. Given he only came into it last night why do you watch Homeland ?

He had no problem with shooting an unarmed woman at point blank range the week before.

Would you have a problem shooting someone who was recruiting young women for a purpose which would end in their death , kissing and hugging them bye bye and reassuring them that Allah would be pleased when they blew themselves ... and others ...up?
