I never judge a series until it has ended and so far I am enjoying this one.

It could turn out to be as good as 1 & 4 or perhaps even better, I find it very easy to follow and the programme is so incredibly topical this time around (look at the general forum for all the various topics covered in the drama).

And as a bonus Brit Rupert always does a great job as the badass assassin Quinn.

Same here.

I just want to know that the little boy will be OK, frankly I don't care about anyone else.
Thought you were giving up on it, at least that's what you announced to us on here last week
Personally am really enjoying this series. Am assuming Quinn will take a photo of Carrie appearing to be dead as photographic proof for the person that ordered her assassination. Obviously she's not really dead and he is going to help her. Guessing that explains her disguise in the opening credits.

Would you have a problem shooting someone who was recruiting young women for a purpose which would end in their death , kissing and hugging them bye bye and reassuring them that Allah would be pleased when they blew themselves ... and others ...up?
Er...yes. Don't we usually have police and courts for this sort of thing?

I'm sure he will be. It was just to force the phone call in order to get Carrie's location.

Why did Quinn ask his ex girlfriend for a Sigma (?). I'd assume a hit man would always have a supply of guns. Is there something special about that type of gun?

How frustrating is Carrie when she's off her medication! When she was having her hallucinations I was hoping Brody might make an "appearance". As for snorting caffeine - how bizarre?! Try that one in Starbucks!

Why did Numan say to his colleague that he'd handed over the rest of the leaked files? I thought Laura just found the animated picture on the stick.
Stingray, a device that acts like a mobile phone tower to collect phone numbers. He asked for a hand held one.

Also if he intended to kill Carrie she would be dead.

Ah, I missed the actual line when I was watching and assumed the 'sigma' would be a weapon of some sort. Makes more sense with Stinger, although not much. It's hardly the weapon of choice for a hitman who wants to remain under the radar... Makes you wonder what Quin's got up his sleeve though!

Considering he doesn't know who his next target is until he gets the drop and he obviously didn't have a it with him when he went for Carrie. You have to wonder why he needs one.

Damn, though he was gonna blow some plane out of the sky.

Makes more sense though.

Agreed. I love this show. I didn't think it would survive when Damien Lewis left but it has remained a really engaging and topical show.

Someone on the US thread has mentioned that she answered the phone in Russian, I didn't notice it but presume that will be who she is working for.

When will TV ever catch up with the fact that data files do not have to be stored on a computer or a USB stick? The backup copy could have been on a micro SD card, a games console, on the cloud... any number of places. Also there is very likely still a copy on the machine that the files were copied to in the first place; even if they deleted them and emptied the recycle bin, it would still be on the disk, just not so easily accessible.

I agree. I found this series a bit confusing to start with but I am now well and truly into it. Roll on next week....

It's been a good series so far and is much better off with the Brody family. I hope it doesn't limp out with poor finale like season though.

True. Imagine if Homeland were set in the 1980's. They'd have the characters meeting in alleyways to discreetly hand-over a massive crate of 5 1/2" floppy disks!

Isn't it! Although, I miss Brody I certainly don't miss Dana and her teenage angst.

Considering Carrie is supposed to be dead, I'm surprised Quinn took the risk of having her with him (in the car) when he went to drop off the photos. He already knows she's such a loose cannon and never does as she's told and even with a wig on, she could have been recognised by someone watching him make the drop.

Didn't trust her. Had a feeling she was up to something. But thought it was going to be about saving her own arse after the information leak. Didn't see the double agent thing coming.

I wasn't sure about that either. Was it intended as a real farewell message to Frannie, which Quinn would send to her if Carrie really does get killed? Or was it meant to be a fake farewell message supplied with the fake photo as evidence of Carrie being found, "forced" to do a farewell message, and killed?

The video was made to create the impression that Carrie always knew her life was in danger.

Quinn had to make sure the references to Frannie were always absolute because if Carrie was killed she would make sure her daughter was safe. If there was any doubt that Carrie was alive then Frannie would be used as leverage to break her cover.

I gave up on this show when my credulity with the Carrie character had been stretched too far. I was then persuaded by my man to give it another go when this new series received good early reviews and he was fed up of watching it alone.
Three episodes in and it's Carrie who is the centre of the Universe again and the only one that can save herself, others, the world, the universe etc. and in a deeply unstable frame of mind as well.
That's it for me - the whole programme seems to be a Claire Danes/Carrie lovefest and I'm done with it.

She's one of the producers so that's not surprising.
