Considering Carrie is supposed to be dead, I'm surprised Quinn took the risk of having her with him (in the car) when he went to drop off the photos. He already knows she's such a loose cannon and never does as she's told and even with a wig on, she could have been recognised by someone watching him make the drop.

No, no, no!
On TV, when a female puts a wig on she instantly becomes completely unrecognisable - fact!

These days the security services can id people on CCTV by profiling the facial bone structure. At least they can on TV programmes. A wig is not going to help.

I gave up on this show when my credulity with the Carrie character had been stretched too far. I was then persuaded by my man to give it another go when this new series received good early reviews and he was fed up of watching it alone.
Three episodes in and it's Carrie who is the centre of the Universe again and the only one that can save herself, others, the world, the universe etc. and in a deeply unstable frame of mind as well.
That's it for me - the whole programme seems to be a Claire Danes/Carrie lovefest and I'm done with it.
Whoops someone else who doesn't seem to realise that manic episodes of Bi Polar are exhibited to this extent by some people who suffer the disorder.

It worked for Odelle Ballard in Odyssey

Just like the last couple of series, its taking a few episodes to get going but the last episodes ending was very good.

Saul shoud have sent that Alison on her way when he had the chance, the ending shows how dangerous she is, gripping ending, even though what she done was obviously wrong and out of order. So did she do that for the Israeli's?

Also does anyone else think that Homeland would be better off and would last longer if they actually got rid of Carie now and maybe should have got rid of her when Brodie was killed off?

No, if she wasn't in this season I would have stopped watching it by now. She is by far the most interesting character in this show for me.

I think we have seen everything there is to see from her and she is very predictable and tired as a character now. Maybe some new agents with Quinn still playing a key role would be better for the programme to last into the future.

Definitely not. Carrie is Homeland, without her the show wouldn't be half as good.

You could have said the same about Brodie but they let him go. I think you should consider this a bit more, what new things is she bringing to the programme? The programme would move on better without her imo.

Let Clare Danes stay on as the Executive Producer and input ideas but she is boring me, I'm finding the non Carrie parts of Homeland interesting but not her.

No I don't - I love Claire Danes portrayal of Carrie and she is the centre of the show. If anything, I'm getting a bit bored with Saul who's personality has changed so much from series 1 when you thought he might have actually had a bit of integrity. My sympathy for him as a character is wearing thin.

He was always like that. He was part of Dar Adal's special ops team that would carry out hits and covert actions. Now he's doing it as part of Saul's operation in Western Europe, taking out terrorists on the (not so) quiet.
When Quinn went to kill some guy last series/series 3 (????) he accidentally shot a kid and fell for Carrie he had a temporary moral crisis. But now he's gone all stone-heart again.

Quinn has always been portrayed as something of a robotic psychopath. Occasionally he gets the odd twinge of guilt or regret. But it doesn't last. Nor does he seem to care what happens to him. He physically threatened Adal in the last series, but fortunately for him Adal took it as a positive sign when Quinn was considering quitting the CIA.

I concur. Sick of Carrie now and her angst crying face wants me to throw my slippers on the screen. Would rather Quinn and Saul running the show now.

Saul is more of a co star and always has been therefore his role and storylines are not getting tired but Carrie I think is well past it generally in both as a character and storylines. In Spooks the main characters/actors left that programme after a few years and I think Homeland should do the same in writing Carrie out.

Lol, yes it has become rather repetitive and tedious......I too prefer it now when we see the other characters and working out if they are the goodies or baddies

Just wondering if she is still off her meds or picked them up when she scarpered out of the house, she seemed pretty calm with Quinn and honestly I really don't want to see any more mad eyed, ranting Carrie.....but then that is not going to happen is it?..and lol at her and Quinn sitting plain as day at the pick up point

I can't believe how much Saul has changed, I know the kidnapping would have changed him but I have gone from loving his character to really hating him.

As for this season, strange one for me. With Quinn going back in to robotic psycho mode, Saul having a personality transplant and then that Allison lady who is very annoying, I am finding it tough to like anyone!

I have just caught up with this week's episode.

The programme is tremendous drama but absolutely none of the characters are at all likable - which is as it should be (after all terrorists organisations and the CIA are not exactly known for being full of fluffy, bunny types).

Quinn is the most compelling - but most of the people we see are high functioning psychopaths and it makes very enjoyable viewing doesn't it?

What an ending.

Those pesky Russians - I just hope that they are not after any precious bodily fluids!

I think that's the problem with Homeland at the moment. Since Brody went out, it's been hard to empathise with any of the characters apart from Carrie. We are missing likeable characters like Max and Virgil and even the CIA operatives who were with Brody on his last mission. We need to care about the characters or else there's no point. Having said that, I'll still watch it

I totally agree, she is boring the hell out of me now. She really needs to be gone as her acting is starting to grate !!!

Maybe we should start suggesting this to Clare Danes in Tweets? She might not have thought about giving up the role for reasons that those that like her have given but as we can tell, it would help Homeland improve if she left.

Yeah, like she is going to quit just because some people on Twitter say she should. A fanciful comment.
