Decent enough episode. Like the Saul storyline, interesting to see if he flees and awaits what Carrie comes up with, but also how the inevitable Dar Adal reconciliation will work. Once it's clear that Alison is the main baddie, I suspect that all will be forgiven between Saul and Dar (and that Carrie will also find her way back to the CIA).

The Alison back story was also good, it gave a good account of how she got to be a SVR asset. Her personal relationship with Acrobat was plausible (in the Homeland world anyway).

Quinn's storyline is also intriguing, didn't see the plot change for the terrorists to go back to Berlin coming. I had expected them to go to Syria and try to kill the emir and his cronies there. We'll probably see more AS/German cooperation in the next few eps to avoid Berlin/Germany getting hit, and for the two security agencies to become BFFs again by exposing Russia.

Did think that it was a bit transparent for Carrie to put the pieces together as a result of seeing a screensaver, but hey, it's all nicely set up for the next few eps.

She looked more frumpy 10 years ago, she was on a basic CIA salary back then, before she was corrupted by the Russian bloke & developed a penchant for designer gear. Did anyone else feel a bit sorry for her re how she was played or was it just me? Personally I've got the same hairstyle now that I had 10 years ago.

What do we make of Otto During? What's his game? He seems to be helping Carrie, but last week he told Jonas that it was a mistake to hire her and that she was unbalanced. Last night he lied about Jonas being in touch with him. Is he part of the plot against her or is he interested in her romantically? I can't make up my mind.

I am glad someone else has noticed this .

Unless I missed it, they didn't reveal how exactly Alison became a Russian agent in terms of what were her previous ties to Russia? All we saw was that Russian guy walk in, and she shouts/screams and says something I'm assuming that was Russian, but how does that tell us her connection to the Russian guy from before?

If Alison has heritage to Russia they haven't revealed it either have they?

As for those guys that have Quinn, what's their game? If they wanted to do an attack in Germany, then why not either let Quinn go earlier on or kill him earlier on? Not that I want that to happen but if their plan is to do an attack in Germany, why are they messing about pretending to go to Syria?

I assumed the Russian guy was blackmailing her - he has evidence that she was going to run off to St Lucia with the Iraqi guy & $millions of CIA money, so she's got to do what he says or else he'll drop her in it.

Why did they take Quinn then if they were just going to come back to Berlin?

It's always good to have a potential US hostage, I suspect.

But why pretend to go to Sryia for? Unless they think they are being watched but even if they are, wouldn't they have been intercepted by now or will be at some point?

I suspect that the computer whizz guy Newman will get further crap on Allison and SVR because they killed his (stupid) friends and that will be the end of double dealing Allsion.

But all Homeland series always ends up with a big WTF like Brody getting hanged, I feel some sort of WTF moment in the last episode of the series.

BTW is the final episode 12 or 13?

Made sense to me. They leave for Syria so the CIA think the attack on Berlin is off. They then pick up some weapons and a new van, then head back to Berlin and take everyone by surprise. They probably wanted Quinn to come with them so that he would feed back false info to the CIA about the attacks being off.

It's getting very heavy. The scene with Quinn at the end was very tough to watch.

I didn't like that at all, feel properly upset, not just for Quinn but for us in the real world who can suffer like that. How on earth can human beings do that to each other.

Hopefully that injection will save Quinn
