I didn't like that at all, feel properly upset, not just for Quinn but for us in the real world who can suffer like that. How on earth can human beings do that to each other.

Hopefully that injection will save Quinn
In what state would he be if he does survive? I'd hoped that the doctor had contaminated the barrels of whatever the liquid was by topping it up with water (like Walt in Breaking Bad robbing the methylamine from the train)

It's very unsettling, the evil that men do.

agree with the last post. very hard to watch. and to know that there really are people out there who would do that. Poor Quinn. I really thought the dr. guy would release him before it got to that point but I guess he wouldn't have been able to escape.
Yes, I also wondered what state he would be in if he survives. but thinking how he's recovered from his recent stabbing, guess he'd be up and about within short space of time.
what also upset me was how the dr. guy, even though he struggled with it all compared to the others, ultimately he had the same beliefs about the Caliphate etc . All very depressing.

Great stuff.

I find myself sitting there absolutely still as it unfolds.

But in such an interrogation, would they send Dar in, especially as he seems to show facial expressions very easily and revealingly?

Not that I have an NVQ in interrogation but thought they'd have layers of interrogators to use techniques designed to bring the information out slowly, like they did in the Company.

PQ can't be done for - he's a major star in this. Bet he was acting or what was happening was as a result of what was injected in him.

Lucky for Saul that Allison's phone doesn't need a password.

Unfortunately, they don't have much on Allison. They don't have her passing secrets to the Russian guy. Dar looked to be too easily convinced.

The only thing wrong with her story though is that if it was true, wouldn't other people at the CIA know that he was an asset? Surely they wouldn't work unilaterally like that.

That was my thought as well. She'd been running the Russian for all that time and never told anyone?

Yes I agree. I know Homeland does rely on some pretty major leaps of faith at times, but last night rather pushed that

I also found the idea that Allison's apartment wouldn't have been under surveillance, given that Dar Adal is aware of their relationship, leaving Saul to waltz in unseen, a little far fetched.

I hope Quinn's OK.

He usually is though, let's face it. I'll be very disappointed if he doesn't leap up, smash through the glass and beat the c**p out of all those guys in the next episode. And then refuse to go to hospital.

Again.

I doubt Allison's running the Russian. Would she have had a need blown the plane up carrying the Egyptian general and his family if so ?

She's not. That's just what she's telling Dar to try and save herself.

Brody was an even bigger star and they did for him.

We've already seen the Russian turn her when she was about to run off with her asset and a bag of cash whilst in Iraq (was it?). So we, the audience, can be sure it's her that is the mole in this case.

Yep, the Russian in that scene had taped evidence also didn't he, which is why he was able to blackmail her....I wonder if Alison was the same mole being talked about a few series back....

Unless of course that's what what they want us to think...

It's been a great season, one of my favourites. The whole Berlin scenario has worked well, with interesting new characters and some fantastic performances. I haven't been keen on Quinn's storyline so much as they've been overly brutal to his character. I hope he'll pull through the latest incident - not only surviving, but recovering fully.

Claire Danes was on The Tonight Show this week and implied it was going to be an exciting finale, as opposed to the low-key one of last season (which I liked personally). I'm intrigued to know where in the world they'll locate the next season, but whichever will be the final one will be back on home soil I'm sure.

D'ya know - I think the Berlin scenario has been good too.

I tend to get overly picky about little things - or so long suffering other half says!

I'm an intensive care nurse - screaming at Quinn's ability to recover from every injury - but actually I like it - is he done for this time?

I find Saul & the traitor woman hard to believe.

My ongoing obsession with Carrie's bluddy little shoulder bag continues

But the important things seem enjoyable and it's great to read this thread to see what others think and also to clear up bits I think I didn't understand.

Sounds like we'll be going on a bit longer too!

Happy viewing all

Just seen that the SAG Awards nominations were announced earlier. Claire Danes has a nod for Best Actress, and there's one for Best Ensemble too (they'll be up against Mad Men though).

I have watched every single episode of Homeland and thought it would go downhill after Brody died but I think this series has been great, a bit slow to start but I am well and truly into it now.
Glad it is going to continue with series 6....
