The Sweeney, I really liked the remake, surprised more wasn't mentioned of Damien Lewis being in it, he must be a bigger star than Ray Winstone.
I now know who the new Top Gear Stigs are as well and I mean plural ( watch the extras) |

Just saw this. Good movie, original plot, good acting, special effects were a bit iffy at times though.

Silent Hill - Revelation (2012)
There are many flaws with this film but the most unforgiveable is that it pretty much fails completely to capture the atmosphere and creepiness of the games. |

Sinister. Ok, except for the obvious fact that no man in his right mind would willingly move his family into a house like that, let alone not tell them
The whole family dynamic was badly done, the development of the children was non-existent. But there were some good creepy moments in it.

Payback. Decent gangster film, nothing more. Some good scenes but Gibson a little OTT, nor ideally suited to the role. Worth a watch though. 5/10.

Broken, British movie with Tim Roth, Cillian Murphy and headed by teen newcomer Eloise Laurence.
WTF 1/10. I needed anti-depressants afterwards. The one out of ten is for the character development, although one character the youngest sister of one of the families 'Bully' character made me laugh alot and the movie is deadly serious. |

The Impossible 9/10
Saw this last night and thought the film was fantastic and the acting from everyone, but especially Naomi Watts and Tom Holland was outstanding. I would definitely watch again. |

Seven Psychopaths 8/10 - It's about a writer with writer's block, some psychopaths and a missing dog. With Colin Farrell, Woody Harrison, Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell
I really enjoyed this tongue-in-cheek movie. I would definitely recommend it! Lawless 7/10 - A bootlegging gang during the depression and their battle with the authorities. With Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and Guy Pierce. This is a serious type film which is a bit slow moving at times. However overall, I found it entertaining and I would recommend it. |

House at the End of the Street.
1/10. Utterly pointless movie. Was expecting more of a film that has Jennifer Lawrence starring in it. WTF at the lightbulb scene. |

Silent Hill - 7/10. A rewatch in preparation for Silent Hill: Revelation (have a DVD due out next week or the week after).
My Man Godfrey - 4/10. Not as good as I remembered. Carole Lombard's character is far too ditzy for my taste. Right to the point where I wanted to throw a shoe at her.

The Grey
Basically ‘Dances With Wolves’ with me boy Liam Neeson being a total badass! Thought the ending was a little predictable and disappointing – it cuts off at a bit where Neeson is at his arse-kicking best – and that sometimes it felt like it had been made on closed sets with dodgy CGI backdrops, but those things aside I thought the rest was bloody good! A gritty survival story (that alone I liked) featuring some decently developed characters, especially Neeson’s main character. There’s numerous themes chucked in there – survival and death being two of them – and although I’m not spiritual by any means the religious motifs work well and aren’t over-baked. The soundtrack is also mighty impressive too and Liam Neeson holds the whole thing together with a great performance as always. Pretty good stuff. 8/10
