Looper. Very confusing to begin with, but I gradually got more involved with the film as it progressed. One that stays with you, and I'll need to watch it again, as I think the start will make a lot more sense now I've seen the end

The Matrix: Reloaded - 7/10
OK action, but the script is 100% gibberish. Now, I must watch revolutions

The Amazing Spider-Man. 9.10. Was expecting dross from the reviews but was captivated by Garfield from the beginning.

Troll Hunter - 7/10
Was good fun. Not scary like I thought it was going to be, but still good fun. |

'M' is an amazing film. I have 2 BD editions, the UK Masters of Cinema one and an 80th Anniversary German edition (supposedly a more restored/longer version)

Final Countdown. 9/10.
Brilliant. One of the best time travel films I've seen & no idea why it isn't as well received. Bar some.of the outdated graphics, it stands up well. |

Drive. 5/10.
Fairly short and with some padding out. Decent enough plot but some painfully slow dialogue between Gosling and the girl. Little too 'arty' but well worth a watch. One scene not too pleasant. |

Mulholland Dr. 9/10
Love that it kicks in from the very start, gonna have to check out more of David Lynch's stuff. Really enjoyed the weirdness of this film. |

Prometheous 7/10 ...,not bad mind i think one needs an instruction book to understand it !..quite complicated !..if you look at the first Alien film it was simple scary and claustophobic this one doesnt have the same feeling !
Battlestar Gallactica 9/10 ..film version that spawned the series ..very cheesy but great sci-fi entertainment ! Forbidden Planet 9/10 ...still a classic after 60 years on ! The Woman in Black 9/10.. excellent old fashioned Hammer Horror Ghost story ! |

Interesting to see Leslie Nielsen in a dramatic role and Anne Francis is lovely - her dress/skirt is a bit ! (But I'm not complaining ) Maybe she set new trends

Beware of Pity [1946]. Director: Maurice Elvey
6/10 Downbeat tale of a Bohemian army officer romancing a beautiful but crippled rich woman out of pity. A best selling novel became a flop film but it has good production values a plot that keeps you guessing. |
