Holy Motors - 7/10. Latest work of Leos Carax's about a mysterious man being chauffeured around Paris in a day, completing different kinds of "tasks". A WEIRD film, I must say, yet captivating.

In the House (Dans La Maison) 6.5/10. Much better than the hot mess Potiche. But still, the ending ruined the tempo of the film.

The Mothman Prophecies (2001) 7/10

Based around an event that took place in 1967, the Mothman Prophecies is about a recently widowed journalist who inxeplicably finds himself in the town of Point Pleasant where strange sightings of a creature have been taking place. The journalist with a police officer tries to piece together the clues and cryptic messages that some are left with and soon discover that they are about disasters that are yet to happen. The journalist learns of an ancient creature called the Mothman that seems to warn others of impending disaster but isnt to sure if he is being warned or is sliding into madness over the death of his wife. A pretty good mystery movie but be warned don't expect a great reveal or an answer to everything. There is a little snippet of info about what happened at the end of the movie, which without giving to much away, can be disproved with a little research on the internet!

Its a Richard Gere film..his films are quite good

Fast Five 7/10

What you would expect from the franchise. Very fun high octane amusement.
Ruined slightly though when I saw Gal Gadot in a Bikini. Man she makes Runway models look fat! Kept me distracted through the rest of the film wondering if she was going to spend her money on actually eating some food and look less like skeleton with flesh.

Armageddon (1998) 8/10

The end of the world is nigh! (Again! Third time this week!). A big budget disaster movie which sees an oil drilling team sent to an inbound meteor in order to drill deep enough to plant and then explode a nuclear device that will break the errant rock into enough pieces to pass us by.
Not only has the movie got massive set pieces and spectacular scenes but a great musical score by Trevor Rabin full of forboding and a sense of helplessness, (Yeah it's a favourite! ). The only real nitpick I have is the fact that just after the device goes off the explosion can be seen in the skies from several points around the Earth, India and the US! I was under the impression that the Earth was round!
