Goon - 7/10 I thought this wasn't too bad, or at least was better than I expected. Seann William Scott was quite a pleasant surprise in a way.

Mirror Mirror - 6/10 most of those 6 points are for a few funny moments and the seven dwarfs, best thing about the film by far. Tired story, been done too many times.

This Is 40 (2013) - 7/10 far tooo long the storyline was not strong enough to last 2.5 hours.

After watching that I am not looking forward to turning 40 (23 years to go )

It also had a weird moment when the TV show Friends was mentioned even though Paul Rudd starred in it.

Gone - Full of cliches(not that I have a problem with that) and lacked something for me.
Spoiler
Amanda Seyfried put in a decent performance. Everyone else was pretty forgettable.

6/10

Margaret - The longer this one went on(which to be fair, was a LONG time ), the more I enjoyed it. Anna Paquin's character was fascinating, which is impressive considering she was a fairly normal(well above average intelligence, though) high school girl. Paquin played the character incredibly well.

I felt the storyline was a bit thin at times, but the focus on the main characters made up for that.

7/10

i simply do not know why this has had so much chritisism!!!

the acting is not that bad, for a sci fi movie of this kind, and the effects are GREAT for the budget they had!

and the ending was different too

Aliens - First time I had seen it (I know, I know) . Thought it wasnt bad . But typical James Cameron film very action centered lacked the supense of the amazing first film.

Skyfall -

Heard so many good things about this film but after finally getting round to see it, I was left very disappointed. For me Casino Royale is a much better film

A Good Day to Die Hard
Woeful in comparison to the original and fares little better against the sequels

As a generic action movie 5/10

The Avengers

Aside from the absurdity that Thor (a god) needs the help of Iron Man (weak hearted guy in a metal suit) and Captain America (normal guy on supersteroids) to help him fight his brother (who he defeated in his OWN movie), it was just awful. Not sure why a guy who can shoot arrows and a woman with big breasts serve any useful purpose, and does anyone really care about the Incredible Hulk? He's been in three bad movies. Enough is enough. Plus, the script was filled with terrible Whedonesque dialogue. It works well on Buffy, but in nothing else. The special effects were crap, it looked like a video game, so naturally comic book geeks loved it.

Cinema is dead.
