Jahmene, the deepest, wettest contestant ever to grace our screen.

Without the sob story, would he have really got this far? Let's be completely honest with ourselves - No way! It's just such a shame that people feel they need to use emotional blackmail to get a distinct advantage in the show but why do they feel they need to do it?

Because of you!

Society loves a sob story and it also makes great TV...yet we forget how disrespectful it is to the deceased. Mourning is a very personal, private matter and should always remaining as such.

X Factor production have done this to Jahmene. I believe the last thing he's wanted to do is talk about his family life (including his dead brother) publicly. And it's given people a chance to talk about how awful he is for having an awful background and how awful it is for him to have such an awful background. Also how awful it is for there to be any place for sorry backgrounds in X Factor to be considered at all. So much value as a contestant all round. At last X Factor have chosen the sorriest story of all sorry stories to push.

I'm pretty sure he has pursued this himself, if he hasn't then he has sold himself out. Nobody makes you stand there in front of millions to mourn for lost relatives.
