Jahmene Douglas 6/5 favourite
James Arthur 6/4 2nd favourite
Chris Maloney 7/2 outside chance

Will update when or if they change.

I think James is an obvious third, & if the voting remains open for the final two (which it will) then Jahmene will win.

If the voting doesn't remain open for the final two, then Christopher will win.

When it comes to the final two it'll be Chris fans vs everyone else pretty much. Is Chris's fanbase really that strong?

I don't know why they have Chris at odds like that though, especially with what we know.

That was my thoughts exactly - if James or Jahmene go out 3rd, then their voters will hopefully switch to the other. But if there is no extra voting time for the top 2 then, Chris may just win!

I think that means they will make absolutely sure there is extra voting time for the Top 2!

I am tempted to put money on Chris to win, but have never put a bet on before/haven't the foggiest as to how it works. Would somebody be so kind as to say how much I would get back if I put £10 on Christopher to win please?
Thanks in advance

Edited to add, is it about £35 quid? Not sure if I've guessed how to work it out right or am totally wrong.

7/2 Just means you put 2 to win 7 so for 10 you would win 35 and get your 10 back.

So £10 on 7/2 = 45 back 35 profit.

IMO your wasting your money if you do that, but that's how much you'd get.

At Betfred if you put £10 on the odd they have now which is 3 even you would get your £10 back as well as £30

Cool, thank you

Will see how brave I'm feeling tmr, there is a betting shop nearby (ish) but its always seems to be full of men and looks quite intimidating (doors are always open when I walk past it).

£35 profit is good for me!

Hah yeah they're not pleasant places, but nobody bothers you there.
I have friends in the industry, there's a lot of people putting money on chris to win. But they're doing it based on 'voting leaks' 'newspaper articles' most likely.... and lots of previous weeks chris fans are voting to the max because they're never sure he's safe. Where as others will have not been bothering.

The final is completely different, everyone votes. I cannot see Chris even getting half the votes of the winner, but who knows.

I honestly wouldn't bother. Those odds for Christopher are not generous at all. 7/2 you would indeed get £35 back plus your bet.

IMO people seem to be underestimating the power of Chris voters, they have got him all this way to the final, without him ever being in the bottom two.
They aren't going to rest on their laurels now. I can see them rising up like a huge Tsunami and propelling him all the way to the winning post.

People are overestimating the power of them actually.

Chris has a tiny fanbase they'd need to vote 500 times each for him to win.

I think you could be right

I have just been looking back and Joe and Steve who i would call the granny/moms winners was always in the top 3 of the votes every week. ( apart from once when they were 4th at the start of the live shows ) So the granny/mom vote are very strong on this show

There were no real reasons to dislike joe.

there's as many mom/grannys who cant stand chris is the thing, it's why it's different with him.

It really is up-for-grabs, and you can't really count James out. JLS and Olly have proven that placing in the bottom two during the last few weeks doesn't mean you can't be propelled to the final 2, even over someone who has been more consistent (JLS made it past Eoghan who had topped the vote most weeks, and Olly made it past Stacey who had topped the vote twice and never been in the bottom two). Olly was even bottom of the voting at the last 6.

In the end I think the acts that appeal to the floating voters are the ones that get that final last push in order to win.
