Well
The term urban covers quite a broad genre of music. I like quite a few hip hop, R& B, soul etc. however I have never liked Ndubz and didnt enjoy tulissa's song yesterday on X factor but each to their own. It wouldn't do if we were all the same would it? Thre was an article I read today where tulissa is full of love and admiration for Simon and how she wants to come back for a third year on X factor. I find that quite funny as I didn't think that very urban either |

LOL, her new album is not urban barring a couple of songs, its a pop album so she cant roll out those kinds of excuses.

I'm afraid it won't make number 1 because she actually can't sing. I didn't realise that until I saw her perform this weekend. Ouch. Somebody should tell her, she was actually embarassing! Who on earth would buy that stuff?

I probably wouldn't buy her album as it's not exactly my cup of tea. I don't think she's as terrible as everyone makes her out to be though.

This is so funny, I always thought she was awful but of course I was wrong and all the "urbanites" were cool.
She is so bad on X Factor, is it because urban is not as popular as she pretends or is it she has sold out for megabucks to the Cowell machine. I am loving her fall out of favour because she has bigged herself up, has behaved atrociously and always acted the victim and then judged others who leave her standing in musicality, voice and dress. Still, her millions will keep her and her boyfriend of the moment in hoodies for the foreseeable future and Simon will do the right thing and send her back to her roots. |

You're never going to like her album though.
1. You dislike Tulisa 2. You do not like urban music. So really it's not fruitful to listen to it and say ''It's horrendous'' Of course you will think that. But to people who appreciate this type of music, it is a world class album, perhaps it is album of the year so far Quote:
I doubt you've even heard her album. Is is quality from start to finish.

Tulisa's album ''The Female Boss'' was released earlier today, we caught up with Tulisa for her views on all things X-Factor, her album and love life.
Asked if she thought she'd top the album charts, Tulisa said ''I am not worried about that, i have made music i like that i enjoy, maybe it is too urban to reach number 1'' |

You are clueless
Early life and career beginnings Contostavlos was born in Camden Town, North London, to an Irish mother, Anne Byrne (who, with her three sisters, was a member of the 1980s band Jeep)[2] and a Greek Cypriot father, Steve Contostavlos (part of Mungo Jerry).[citation needed] When Tulisa was five, her mother, who has bipolar disorder and schizoaffective disorder, was sectioned under the Mental Health Act.[2] Contostavlos's father left the family home when Tulisa was 14 years old.[3] She said that she was brought up in a 3 bedroom house and experienced a lot as a teenager: violence, depression, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, anorexia nervosa, mental health issues, financial difficulties and bullying.[4] At thirteen she was very emotional .[5] She revealed that she twice tried to kill herself as a teenager and also used to self-harm to try to help her cope with everything she was going through.[4] With support from her uncle, N-Dubz's former manager, Byron Contostavlos, at age 14 she enrolled at Haverstock Secondary School, later attending Quintin Kynaston School[2] in St John's Wood, but she didn't sit her GCSE examinations.[2 ![]() Isn't it easy for 'Camden' - which includes posh areas like Hampstead, Belsize Park, Highgate - to become 'Camden Town' which is like, edgy and urban? |

I've always liked Tulisa, but I wish she'd stop referencing urban at every opportunity. It's really starting to grate, and comes across as a superiority complex; only urban is cool and relevant, and all other genres are beneath it.
When she's older and has a family she'll look back at this elitism, especially in a genre where the music tends to be transitory and is swiftly forgotten, and realise how pretentious it made her sound. Ironically the song on last night's X Factor was a straightforward pop song and enjoyably catchy enough. I just wish she would learn to separate out the words and sing "...please come back" instead of what sounded like "...please scumbag". ![]() Does she think that the number one spot is going to be taken by a Country and Western album or something? |

My favourite music is rock and hard rock, I just feel that Tulisa bashes on about urban music over an over and over, when she is clearly not urban.
Urban music and the meaning of urban music started n the 1970's , it was a classification for music anywhere from RnB, soul etc all the way to rap an hiphop to clearly define African American artists. She is clearly none of these things. I will openly say that im not a fan of dance/club music and although my greatest love is rock music I do in fact like some rap and hiphop but for me she is not even remotely urban. I love black eyed peas and Will.i.am and he can certainly use urban as his roots are in fact African American. |

does tulisa know what "urban music" is? i can guarantee no one who is "urban" or rather "hood'(because that is really what she means) will buy her album or download any of the singles.

I think someone needs to buy Tulisa a dictionary for Christmas, so she can look up the meaning of Urban, they might need to underline and highlight it first, so its easy for her to find.
She has no acts left for the final, so I suppose she spend her free time, trying to flog her CD at any siting willing to have her, as well as hanging around with the footballer, not many of us had heard of before and trying her best to get accustomed to the Wag life of living. While thinking, ain't I Lucky, I got all this from being a shit singer, who was in a crap band called N'Dubz, got my big break by doing the X Factor and giving a bad blow job on camera, lucky me but I hope people still buy my crap CD, otherwise I have no choice but to go back to N'Dubz, In the words of Dappy, I have No Regrets. |
