No Tulisa... nothing to do with your 'urban roots' (whatever the hell they actually are!).
It's just because your music is shite! |

What I do know though is that I don't like her TV personality, I dislike her 'style' of music, and I think she's a crap performer! I believe I'm allowed to make posts that reflect this!!!??? |

The use of the word 'hate' on these forums really bugs me. I don't 'hate' Tulissa... I don't even know her.

Like i said the OP is not even a true interview, i googled it, nothing came up, so where did they get it from? They just made it up to |

The album is trash. It look me longer to download it from MediaFire then it did for me to delete it from my iTunes library.
I generally don't care if someone sounds good on a record but not that good live, but she really fails to sound good on a CD, even with the copious amounts of auto tune and pitch correction. She needs to stop this acting like she is part of the urban genre, whilst releasing the most basic pop songs ever. My big toe is more urban. |

You have just admitted you're a criminal, therefore your opinion is not valid
![]() ![]() Somehow, I doubt she sounds any better on a CD. |

Israel's foreign affairs policy is still better than Tulisa's singing/songwriting ability.

I listened to the album yesterday and must say I was pleasantly surprised. It was very different to the type of stuff I usually listen to but I really enjoyed it. Could have done without all the bad language though

A lot of us were, I recall this forum was awash with accolades and suggestion she was good enough to go solo. Most of us were pleasantly surprised.
That's the crux I think. Based on last year people anticipated she would sing a lot better than she did on Sunday. Instead she sounded hoarse, as if she's been smoking too many ciggies, and when she tried to put a bit of gravel and bite in her voice twice at the start of a lyric it produced a grating sound like grinding gears. Still a reasonable enough performance IMO, and a catchy enough song, but she didn't "live up to (higher) expectations". Fast forward to this past Sunday night - I absolutely loved her performance...thought her voice sounded hot and sexy with a rock chick quality that works for me. She, and the tune she sang, reminded of girl bands from the 60s. Certainly not urban, but fun to listen to regardless of how you want to label her music. And if a great performance wasn't enough, she looked absolutely ravishing in her outfit. |

Wearing a hoodie and a pair of converse doesn't make you " urban" and the songs she has released have not have and RnB or soul content as far as I hear. They sound like dance music for nightclubs .. The very thing she claims NOT to be
P.S .. How can she judge people on their singing when she couldn't even do it live herself last Sunday due to nerves.. Bit of a hypocrite |

In the first midweeks the album is #17 and the single is #55 despite the X Factor performance.

Tulisa is a big fan of nightclubs and the club scene, she has made this clear!
I don't have a problem with her music ..I don't rate it much and think she has over auto tuned this album.. I've heard her sing live and she is much better than this album.. |

dance rave music is urban in her mind. the whole urban thing is overblown. the quotes attributed to her in this thread are false and not real she didn't even say them.

It's cos she released it on monday, not on sunday like everything else. I am not sure why she did this. If it were available to buy as she was performing she'd have got a lot more sales. Bad management!
Even with the X Factor she is clearly struggling to sell her music, she may of had 1 number song this year but what good is that, when everything else she's releasing is flopping. She's certainly doesn't have the X Factor. |

Actually the single was released on Sunday and was around the 20 mark on iTunes around the time she performed, its because the song is terrible and her performance wasn't good is why it has failed to climb fast and gain a boost in sales to chart higher.
