I'm not to fussed if the guy won on his own merits and talent... but it is getting beyond a joke how much they are promoting him. At first I thought it was just me thinking this but then...

[*]Although the reveals are in no particular order.... his name Is always revealed early / first to make out he's got loads of votes[*]Similarly, Christopher is always revealed just last to annoy viewers and make him out as the villain[*]I've like the x factor facebook page and every day is a post about James Arthur. I have just scrolled down the wall and 90% is about him.[*]Additionally.... if pictures are added... the small pictures are of small contestants and the main picture is always.... you guessed it... I've noticed this too. Same with the YouTube channel, every week one of his performances is the featured video. When Ella was in the competition it was sometimes her but other than that it's been James every week. You'd think they would rotate it every week.

James name is read out all different times, they clearly state in no particular order, i am not sure how more clear they can be.

They put Chris last because it is more tension and people think Chris might go.
His performances last two weeks been showcased on sites because they've been the best performances and most talked about.

On youtube they get the most views with the same promotion as any others.

i advise you to go on the facebook page and count the james arthur stories... or photos which is featured as the main. come back then if you still think im wrong

True. He's had all the help in the world but the fact that he's been in the bottom two suggests that he's needed it. Despite the hype, not enough people are taken in by this untalented phoney to push him over the line. He will finish third I reckon.

I looked, i mean there was more james stuff than anyone else, but it didn't seem like unfair promotion. Just he is more camera savvy. the other two look uncomfortable and are media shy.

quite the contrary.... james was my favorite... and i hate joke acts.... they put crap people through to live shows whilst over promoting one act. they actually have persuaded me not to vote, as it seems like they have chosen there winner ages ago

He's also every celebrity guest's favourite , and by "every", I really mean it.

I noticed on Xtra Factor last night, he was the last to be interviewed, much later in the programme than Chris and Jahmene, as if they were saying he was the real star of the show (and for the second night running he was allowed to perform an acoustic number).

I am a big fan of the x factor i never look at their facebook. i doubt a few pictures more of james arthur influences people too much.

his stuff gets more buzz and he's more media savvy so he naturally is a go to option for new articles, but scrolling down it seems fair, union j got a lot more than anyone else also, cos the teenage girls requested more pics than older people.

I am sure the x factor prefers james wins, i mean evidently chris isn't marketable and wont sell records, with james it's doubtful he will sell with his style of music, so james is the only one they can guarantee will have a chance to be huge.

maybe that influences the decisions of who's pics they put on their fb page more? i doubt it though.

It got even worse on the x factor site once Cowell said over twitter that his Fav was James, so that may well be the reason for so much over promotion , who knows

I suspect that is what this is really about. Cowell is probably savaging the producers over the phone, hence their increasingly desperate measures to get Chris off the show and their insane overhyping of James (including the pre-arranged standing ovation from the "judges" on Saturday).

Yup, that would be my guess as well, I reacon they are following Cowells orders

It's probably backfiring anyway. There's not a shred of evidence that overpraising and overhyping a contestant gets them any more votes (it might even be having the opposite effect).

Perhaps the fact that all musicians who come on the show rate James so highly and he gets the best comments from judges influences people who work on the fb page.

But like i said it's simply because he's more media savvy. check out the pics with him and jahmene, jahmene just doesn't look right doing anything.

Some of them might even have their jobs on the line if Chris wins, which is why there is such an air of panic surrounding them. Cowell may well choose to fire producers who completely lost control of the show.

It really is beyond ridiculous, on the site its 95% James Arthur and it only happened after Cowell on twitter, people are really getting sick to death of it and starting to ask why none of the others are being promoted. They seem to be royally screwing themselves up this year

I honestly don't think so, before Cowell said that James was a non entity on the site , in fact all they did was heavily promote Rylan for week after week

Yep, which shows no bias. They just go for the person getting the most buzz. which right now is james.

It's all going nowhere though. Hyping a contestant to death will only work if he is the standout performer and head and shouders above the opposition. James is actually a marmite character ,much like Chris and Jahmene, and has as many critics and detractors as fans.

James is definitely an acquired taste and I suspect a lot of the audience simply don't like his style of singing or his music.
