...and James does ??
He's got very bad teeth for a start, which is offputting.

I checked his Twitter, he actually asked them to vote so why don't they? Especially as they like him well enough to follow him on Twitter.”

But twitter is a bit of a weird creature - people press the follow button for controversial characters, even if they don't like them. The Frankie Boyle twitter argument would have gained James a lot of followers, not because people liked him but because they were interested to see what would be said next. They won't necessarily vote for him. Same with his anti-DS tweets - it would have got some DS haters to hit the follow button, but they also aren't likely to vote - or buy his music.

I see. I'm not on Twitter myself and I didn't realize that's how it works.
By the way, even that Twitter exchange between Boyle and James was misrepresented. They left out the part in which James doesn't look very bright.

He would also have gained quite a few followers from Simon's puppets from 1D tweeting his twitter ID and asking people to vote for him

Just to further illustrate my point on Twitter followers, the Scottish comedian Limmy is now following James Arthur - here is a sample of his tweets:

"Limmy ‏@DaftLimmy
Can't believe @JamesArthur23 threatened @frankieboyle's right to free speech with VIOLENCE. No place for that in a democracy. #thug"

Limmy ‏@DaftLimmy
"@JamesArthur23: @frankieboyle I have a feeling I'll be alright pal." YOU'RE A BIT COCKSURE!

Limmy ‏@DaftLimmy
Naw, I shouldnae slag off James Arthur, the ****'s going through the biggest week of his life so far. Positivity n aw that.

Hardly a fan I think - very unlikely to vote or buy the album.

And then Daft Limmy's followers follow to keep up with the banter and the whole thing spirals

It's because people want to watch Ella and James's performances the most. Jahmene ended up being featured twice and they both still beat him...so there's no point putting someone else up, really. The show does make money via Youtube aswell so they'll put the best they have forward.

Well, I wouldn't call him that. It was just that he was so desperately pushing James that it was starting to get on my nerves. And as he was allegedly working in a betting shop or something like that your name seems somewhat suggestive.

We will find out on Sunday when the stats get revealed , he did make a few claims .

He had UJ and baloney in the bottom 2 with a close vote

So we will see if he was right ,

True. He also kept saying it was very close and James was in danger of being voted off, remember?

Other sources keep saying Christopher has been in the lead practically all the time. Where does all this 'information' come from?

The sources = the guessers

Had someone say chris won the wild card by a mile , when I asked for info to back up his claim , he went a deathly quiet

Alphabetical order of surnames, perhaps?

I do agree that James is being pushed forward and has been for a while.

I don't mind him, he's a good singer, although he always sounds slightly constipated to me, as well as looking like an uglier Freddie Flintoff.

So very true.
Reminds me of the 'king has no clothes' story.
James has no talent.
Just because Tulisa keeps saying something, just to appear trendy, doesn't make it true.
His own 'songs' on Extra were awful. Imagining listening to a whole album of that rubbish!

Limmy. The unfunny Scottish comedian and big mate of Boyle's you mean. Yeah really significant. Anybody who draws any significance from Twitter is deluding themselves.

Who he is wasn't the reason why I posted his tweets - it was the fact that he only started following James because of the Frankie Boyle argument - rather than following him because he liked him. Just helped illustrate the point that I had made that your twitter followers aren't necessarily fans - particularly for more controversial characters.
