My Samsung phone has died!
I have a very basic Samsung phone (just does calls and texts)
Usually when it says 'SIM card memory full' or whatever I just delete a few messages, etc. and it's OK. This time it wouldn't let me and just froze. I took out the battery and SIM and then replaced them and plugged into the charger but nothing happened. Any advice? |

If the battery has gone really flat then it can take several minutes on the charger before the phone has enough juice before it will let itself be turned on.

My S3 died last week. Wouldnt turn on. Luckily it was still under warranty. I was a bit worried, as I had rooted it and put on a custom rom. The PCB was faulty. So they put in a new board in it. Not sure if they were able to determine if it was rooted or not...looks like they werent.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
I have good news to report - my dear little phone has made a miraculous recovery! Leaving it a bit longer on the charger (as gomezz suggested) did the trick.

Glad to hear the good news. But it sounds like it may be time to get a replacement battery. Keep a close eye on the battery life.
