What's gonna happen is a lot of people will think Chris is going to win because they believe what they read.

They hear u can triple your money if you bet on him to win.

They put 20+ plus pounds. Then when the final starts they want to win their money so vote also 20+ times then they lose their 20+ pounds and have to pay for the votes. Thesun is irresponsible.

The Daily Star said he was the first contestant in the show's history to top the vote for each of the first seven weeks. The article was written in week 8. I don't put much credence in these reports but if you're gonna refer to them, get it right please. By the way, no reports have claimed to know the voting for the past two weeks. On what do you base your statement: "he certainly hasn't recently?"

If he is on course to win, then that's hilarious. I think he's an appalling Butlinseque karaoke singer. I have no idea who's voting for him, but I'm amused by the idea of Cowell being stuck with him.

No one is forced to take drugs or smoke either, but you cannot advertise those things.

I genuinely don't know what you're alluding to. Is advertising for gambling happening or is it press information? The press do report on drugs. I still don't get why you imagine someone ought to take the press to court regarding this report on who is topping the votes. Isn't it too late to cast a vote when everyone votes for those rumoured/said to be topping the votes? Meaning isn't it too late to get a reasonable return on a bet placed now? Do you think you would win any court case brought for 'misleading' gamblers? Are you a gambler? Do you feel you're being misled?

It's pretty simple to understand what im saying.

The information they are putting out is leading people to believe Chris has a great chance of winning, and they continually mention betting.

They are encouraging and leading to many people putting money on Chris to win. A lot of people do not usually bet it is near christmas they believe it's a way to make money.

The reality is gambling is a terrible thing to get involved with, and Chris has next to no chance of winning.

So it is misleading and will result in people losing money.

So in effect yes people are being misled.

Your response was a silly one ''Nobody forces you to gamble'' They banned advertising of cigs because it encouraged people to smoke.
This in effect is encouraging people to gamble, which should and will be banned in the future like it is n America.

You do not understand the betting industry, it's all a misleading cult to take money from the average person.

The Sun really is the bible of truth afterall . . .
I had to laugh at the article's idiotic comment 'votes are coming from the north, south, east and west of the country' - Naturally if one person from each voted once then they'd still be coming from those areas, it gives no indication of the volume of votes.
As to the title of the thread, anyone in the final has a chance of winning the show.

You're right, I don't understand the betting industry and this is why I asked. It was a story in a paper, wasn't it, not an advertisment like cigarette advertising? Clearly you believe asking questions on this forum is wrong of me as you said I was silly. I don't bet, I don't know how it works and how people are tempted to spend money in this way. I've just remembered why I shouldn't post here because your jumping down my throat calling me silly for not understanding why you want to take the paper to court reminds me there's no point in asking questions. I'll avoid your traps and subsequent insults in future and will skip over your posts.

I see you've recently joined, however I won't welcome you to the forum.

Well lets look at it logical. Christopher has NEVER been in the bottom 2. Now people say he is awful etc, but he has never been in the bottom 2 because the votes in terms of volume must keep him out of it. To make the final proves to me he is getting a lot of votes.

I think on the night, Chris will win it.
