He's a good guy and he's done very well to acknowledge the charity so much. Very brave of him.

It's Jahmene's homecoming day on weds...what a way to acknowledge the folks who have showed him both support and respect for all he has done since Day 1 of his 'X Factor' journey...so wish I could be there too!!!

I don't get it.He says if he wins it will make his mum so happy and she can put behind her what's happened. If every abused young person had to make it to star status before they or their parent moved on ,no one would ever heal.
I just don't hold with this " my childhood was worse than yours " competition that seems to take place. With Chris it's "all for me nan " ,shouldn't it be "I just want to sing as my career " .That's why James has my respect.

Mmm....but there is still a bit of 'woe was me' about James' story aswell.....although he isn't as odd as Jahmene or as wet as Christopher.

I don't blame the contestants for the sob stories I blame the programme makers who try to flesh this show out with anything and everything to get viewers.

Agreed. I like Jahmene but ithe week before the final he should have just been mainly concentrating on singing.

I wish they'd stop all these sob stories once and for all.

I daresay if it were a rule that no one with a sob story was allowed to get through you'd not hear a flaming squeak out of the contestants.

They should hush the papers and tell them to keep quiet until after the competition.

It's more Dear Deirdre than the X factor these days.

”

^So do I
Maybe it's the fault of the programme makers, with the Press in mind, and not the contestants choice to share their sob stories.
It would be far more interesting to watch VT clips of the contestants rehearsing like they used to do in the early series.
