I've just bought a Galaxy Tab and although I know you can't claim your cashback for 15 days I've had a look at the form you have to fill out online anyway.

Where it asks for Receipt/Invoice Number, is this the long number underneath the barcode at the bottom of my reciept? Pic below if it helps.

http://imageupper.com/i/?S0300010080...54631429175944

The only other number on my receipt is the order number, but thats for in store purposes I'd imagine.

I realise this is probably a stupid question.

That’s the one I have used on a Tesco receipt along the bottom edge after the time and date not that it should matter because they got an up-loaded PDF of the receipt anyways. The first Tab I brought did not have a barcode on it but the second and third one did so I am not sure if the barcode is something to do with Samsung or is just a general barcode relating to the retailers receipt.

Done 3 altogether with the first one done online just over 2 weeks ago (cash back for Tabs brought before October 24) and the other 2 yesterday but on the current cash back deal.

With the first it said to contact them if you don’t get a thumps up before 14 days from applying and as it said it was still “pending” I sent them an e-mail stating I am getting concerned (in view that they keep referring to the terms and conditions over and over) and I had what appears to be a auto reply with a list of excuses on it, with one of them being the famous “due to overwhelming demand were running late” or words to that effect. It did also say that if the answer was not on the list they would get in touch with me.

Seems to be in order but this is a good thread to start because I still have memories of the Hoover deal and the free flights to the USA from many years ago.

I only have a barcode on the second and third machine I brought but not on the first one. The three machines were brought from two different Tesco stores with the first and third one from one store and the second from the other.

If the barcode is linked to the cash back deal then it must be for Tabs brought after the 24 October with the cask back deal before the 24 October not having a barcode.

I said I could be completely wrong on this and the bar code might not even be linked to the Samsung deal and you saying you have not got a bar code on the 16 November my theory goes out the window...

Sorry, I read your post again and noticed you said you only have a statement.

I think while you are filling the online form in it says something about statement being accepted from certain stores but I can remember what stores these were.

Its for Sainsburys and Tesco, heres what it says...

* If your qualifying purchase was made from Sainsbury’s we will accept a copy of your delivery note as proof of purchase
* If your qualifying purchase was made from Tesco Direct, we will accept a copy of your email order acknowledgement
No help to ftsemonks sadly.

Although the form asks for "Receipt/Invoice Number", so with it being littlewoods won't you have an invoice for the the item ftsemonks?

Does the cash back offer apply to purchases made from Curry's/PC World?

I should think so. I got my galaxy tab back in August from PC world and I was able to get the cashback deal.

Yes it's any UK VAT registered retailer.

The deal is time related so don't apply too soon or too late.

Had an email from the Cash Back folk last night saying they need to verify my bank detail’s but then when on to ask me to resend a PDF of the receipt but not saying what exactly was wrong with the bank details I gave them...

...and of course the worrying “your reply according to the”, then a link to those T&C again and remembering that this deal is time related and they are spinning out this time.

I have never seen any thing with so many references to Terms and Conditions in my life which is why I feel a little edgy with this cash back larky.

I will keep you all posted when I get the “your claim has been successful” e-mail but mean while it would be great if someone post’s here that they have been successful or if they are given any more hoops to jump through.

I got a claim is is successful this week and I purchased late October and put in claim 30 days later (about 26th Oct) - back then you had to wait 30 days before you could apply.

So it's taken since 26th )Oct till this week to get the approval although about 2 weeks ago I got a 'claim being processed' confirmation.

Hope that doesn't happen to me when I eventually claim my cashback, theres no chance I'd send any of my bank details to them in an email and IMO they shouldn't be asking.

I had a personal e-mail today (yes we are on first name terms now )about my bank details being filled in incorrectly, apparently you have to use your FULL names on the application form and not just you’re initial and your Sir name the way they appear on a cheque or card.

Good news, that’s what I like to hear.

Unfortunately you have that choice or you have to telephone them on a 08, not free something number as they must be aware of folk not wanting to send detail’s via email but at the end of the day you don’t know who you’re talking too over the phone or indeed where they are as I don’t think it’s Samsung who handle the cash back scheme.

Personally I would have preferred that you give them your name and address in an on line form and they just send a cheque. That is what they do if you apply by post but unfortunately you can trust Royal Mail theses days as much as you can trust your emails IMHO.

I guess when people stated you need to send your bank details, people are thinking they want

My Name , My Address , My bank account number etc , where in fact they only want your account name, your postal address and they will send you a cheque,

Am I understanding the system correctly,as my wife has purchased two Galaxy Notes 10.1 from Argos , for her and my daughter and is awaiting the 15 day delay period before requesting the refunds,I too don't want any problems

I gave them my bank account and sort code so they can BACS it straight into my account, this worked last time I got a Samsung cashback for a printer I bought.

Not a lot but you have to send your bank details in the post or via email and my point was neither are secure.

BTW it's not me who has a problem with this.

I can select the 16th November when I go through the cashback page. There's two sections depending on when you bought yours so click on the "I bought my Tab2 after 24th October......" and I bet you clicked on the first link not the second.

I bought one for my grandson from Currys but I have to wait 30 days before I can claim the cash back At least by then it'll be the end of December so hopefully they won't be quite so busy

Lets hope so but how many times have we heard over the years from countless companies “we have been overwhelmed by our success” Hoover and TalkTalk are just two that made it to the front pages.

I think its 15 to 60 day’s on the current cash back deal but the “back to college” deal that ended in October was 30 to 45 day’s but I don’t know about the PCW and Curry’s deal as I think they are doing their own thing which is odd because in the T’s & C’s for Samsung it says that retailers cannot apply on behalf of customers and I can’t see the Dixon’s group taking a hit for the fifty quid.

hi I take your word but where do we find store specific instruction for what proof of purchase/ number is acceptable for claim? I bought from the tesco direct so I have an order confirmation email which shows a order reference. will this be sufficient as there is no receipt or invoice sent by tesco direct(in fact it says on the sticker on the parcel box that there is no invoice sent with this parcel ). Also can somebody please explain about uploading PDF of something? Sorry I am new to this, and for good only here I found relevant info.

If you bought from Tesco direct it's the confirmation e-mail you need. That's where I bought mine and have just had my claim validated.
