In Inside Soap it says that a baby is left on their doorstep at xmas, they all confused but turn to Bart of a explanation if it might be his but it seems someone else in the family could be hiding a secret that will set the family reeling, a drunk Myra calls the baby Jesus!

JP is back around then and it says he and Craig splits up after having a rough time in dublin which puts him a difficult position which is why he ends up coming back to HO, he of course meets Brenden along the way.

wonder who the baby belongs to,its too early to be sinades,maybe it could be hollys & she just placed it on a random door?,unless its another one of rhys baby to someone we dont know about

I was hoping it might be Michaelas, be good to see her again! Or it could be a way of bringing in a another new McQueen relative, when she/he comes back to get the baby. The spoiler sounds like it would be someone in the actual house, although I'm wondering if they just knew about the baby, but promised not to say anything.

Could be JP as that could be why he & craig split up

- JP Donated sperm to a friend
- Craig wasnt happy that JP Was a dad
- JP Friend has a meltdown & leaves the baby for JP To take care of

That idea has been bandied about. I think it's a bit ridiculous, especially as Craig was quite keen on kids, but it's HO, so it could well be!!!!

Well, it makes sense that they all look for Bart for answers, as none of the girls could have successfully hidden a pregnancy and birth from the rest of the family. If it is one of them, that would be the worst SOR ever!

I think it will either be:
- Not a Mcqueen at all, with the real mother turning up a few weeks later or
- JP's kid. Of course it is slightly unusual for a gay man to have a child, but it's not impossible (like CRP2012 said), and it would fit nicely with the "never done in soap before" storyline James Sutton hinted at.

Yes, it has. But maybe not in the way this storyline will unfold. There are several ways that they could put a twist on this story. He is a single man, they keep pointing that out in the spoilers, so maybe that is the "new" thing - a single gay dad? Or maybe it is actually Craig's kid? Who knows...

Of course Mercy was in that family picture. It was the whole family together. Of course she walks free. BK wants all his favourite family back when he's there.
The main reason some of us think the baby is Michaela's is to use it as a reason to get her back.
Then, apart from dead Tina, the whole family he created will be there for him.

It's clearly Phoebe's baby. A distraught teenage girl ashamed that a paedophile paid Deena and Graham to have unprotected sex with her 9 months ago and who has yet to open up about her ordeal (although recently it has been mentioned)... pretty obvious to me. Could be wrong of course but it's more likely to be that than giving storyline to an off-screen character.

People can go full term without showing sometimes; my next door neighbour once went to the toilet thinking she was constipated and ended up going into labour without knowing she was pregnant. It does happen and I will be so pleased if the baby is Phoebe's, tis a bit of a spin on the usual teenage pregnancy storyline!

Not necessarily. Phoebe is intended to be "half-caste" so to speak, the baby could well be "quarter-caste" (I dislike those terms, but alas...). It's all down to dominant genes and stuff.

EDIT to add for instance, it has been known for someone to give birth to twins where one is dark skinned and one is light skinned. It happens, it's not all "black and white" if you'll excuse the pun.

true - but phoebe is quite skinny so would she show more if she was pregnant? ,the only reason EE Could do the sonya SL Was because sonya was a more bigger girl

Doesn't matter. Small baby in a vertical position could be hidden easily. Plus, she does always wear that huge coat as if maybe she has noticed a bit of a bump and wants to hide it?

Don't forget in July we had that night of her getting drunk and vomiting - could always be something to do with that too. Morning sickness (well, bit late for that at 3 months) combined with intoxication... I don't know much about the medical side but all these little hints could well add up. If Phoebe *isn't* the mother then I'd be quite disappointed at what could be a brilliant storyline for her and definitely the seed that leads to her new family discovering her ordeal and her beginning to open up about it.

Or it could be Craig got work abroad and made JP choose him and abroad or the baby and thus JP's difficult situation that Craig put him in! Though if that was the case, why wasn't the baby with him when he first turned up?!!

So if he turkey bastes some woman, as he wouldn't have sex with her, he made it very clear he didn't like sex with women (poor Hannah!) then normally said woman would want to be turkey basted as she really wants a child. So assuming that JP didn't have the baby hidden under his hoody for a few days or stuck in his back pack, why would said women who would go so far and be turkey basted so she had a kid, then dump it a JP's door? How would she even know there the McQueens lived? Plus as you say, why wouldn't JP tell them!

So to me not only does the idea that JP at 23 would turkey baste someone but then she would dump the baby, does seem a bit ridiculous to me! Yes indeed it could happen, but it does seem very silly!

It could be Phoebe, but not sure of her story line would fit her getting pregnant. Though I suppose HO wouldn't be too worried about that!

I still think maybe Kathleen as I don't think she'd think twice about dumping her kid on the McQueens.

but HO (or any soap) Would hardly give no indication for 9 month then Bang - heres a kid (Unless it wasnt ES Origanal plan & a last min add on from BK),Seen as there wanting to destroy rhys even after hes death - wouldnt be surprised he it turned out to be his kid if the baby is phoebe`s

I can imagine that it wasn't the original intention when Phoebe just happened to go through that ordeal 9 months before Christmas... more like during story conference, someone in the team pointed out that it would be a perfect catalyst to move Phoebe's storyline on and the dates just happened to fit perfectly, so why the hell not work it in? I like it, personally.

I did say that the picture had been copied and pasted

Mercedes is the same height as Jacqui but in the picture she is quite a lot taller and her legs appear to be missing, even taking into account the couch, it's just not right. Bart also looks bigger then anyone else in the background.

I think alot of people applauded when Michaela returned last year but most were pleased to eventually see her go with Josh. She was tedious bordering on the unlikeable.

It was a publicity picture for a soap magazine! Of the McQueen fammily. ALL of them were there! Why the hell would they have to cut and paste Mercedes into a publicuty photo?!
If half of them were in jail they'd still all be in the photo! Cos it was a christmas picture of the whole family.
