[X Factor] Battle Of The Seasons: Live Show 4
Last time on Battle Of The Seasons, the show went Eurovision and whilst some were worthy of the famous 12's, there were a few that may have scored nil points. However for two more acts, it wasn't to be as Cher Lloyd was instantly eliminated and The Risk was sent home via deadlock. Tonight, our top 10 remaining acts are taking on Winter songs and we have a variety of Winter-related songs for you so let's hope those involved are wrapped up warm and that we don't have any cold hearts tonight. Fighting for your votes in this winter evening are:
EndOfSanity and The last of the '09 CLASS Despina Pilavakis Ryan11 and The '10 CLASS Elesha Moses Belle Amie bboy1988 and The '11 CLASS Joe Cox Jade Richards Kitty Brucknell NarutoFan100 and The '12 CLASS Jake Quickenden Leanne Robinson Carolynne Poole District3 Welcome ladies and gentleman to where your winter, Tuesday night starts right here! So as always before we start, let's hope our panel is here tonight. Judges, please confirm your presence! |

Stephen isn't here tonight, but I have his comments in advance and Naruto isn't here either but he hasn't been able to write in comments since he's busy preparing for an exam (good luck, Naruto).
But we better get started with the class of 2011, opening the show with a remake of an old winter classic, it's Joe Cox! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B15iRRlSJwI |

Joe that was amazing. I here this song about a year ago and when the theme was announced I thought that this was the perfect song choice for you. You sounded amazing and made that track sound like it was written for you. I hope the public liked the performance and will vote for you. |

I liked you last week, I loved you this week! Tonight's theme is winter songs, and while the mentors didn't necessarily have to pick songs about winter, this song felt very warm and wintery to me. Aside from that, your vocals were on point throughout the performance. Well done on a great opening Joe, you should be safe tonight! |

So we start with great comments for Joe, well done to him.
Next up we have the girl group of 2010 with a sexy Christmas song, it's Belle Amie! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm925HkXQ-A |

Belle Amie
Girls during the last show I thought you were amazing, but tonight I was a little underwhelmed. After raisin the bar so high with the last performance I was expecting this to be of the same standard or better and I just felt it wasn't. You have the potential so I hope we will see you again in the next show. |

I commend your mentor for picking a Christmas song, I really do, but it shouldn't be at the expense of your style and originality. I loved you last week, but this week was step back in my opinion. While that performance really had that cozy ambiance about it, it was a little underwhelming in the vocal department and wasn't really exciting overall. Of course that's my opinion, I just hope the public don't share it or you could well be in trouble tonight. |

So it's mixed comments for Belle Amie, will they still have the votes tonight?
Now for the class of 2012 and hoping to make a breakthrough, it's Leanne Robinson! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJpHJmyXJjw |

Leanne
Leanne I thought that was a very good performance and song choice from your mentor to tonight in terms of style, but I would question it's fit into the theme. It was released in May and premiered in September, and I thought the songs had to be released in November or December or be a Christmas song to fit the theme. So in my opinion could this have broken the rules?? |

That was great! Vocally, it has been the best so far. This is the type of songs I want you to be singing! |

First of all, Stephen's right. This is a rule breaker, the album this was on was released in May while the song was released as single in September (digital) or May again (physical). Aside from that, Toni Braxton was quite a predictable choice of artist for you. I think you need to sing something unpredictable sometime soon, as you're falling into the cookie-cutter diva singer category at the moment. Well spotted judges, great performance or not, it was not released during the Winter.
So sadly, Leanne's performance is going to get the infamous rule-breaker tag! Now we're back to the 2011 class and ready to build up on her increased support, it's Kitty Brucknell! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z69NroZBFdo |

Kitty
Kitty my darling that was such a beautifully haunting performance. I had to literally give you a song with 10 mins left before the deadline and this was the song that came to mind. Your vocals were amazing and were the best I have ever heard them. I hope everyone will get behind you and continue to vote for you. |

You know how much I love you Kitty, but I'm on the fence about this performance. At the one hand it was a haunting, dark performance which fit the theme, on the other hand it was really boring and I felt your personality and vocals couldn't really shine with this arrangement and/or song. In the end, doubt is never good, and if the public have the same doubts you might be in trouble tonight. Good luck in the voting Kitty, I think you're going to need it tonight... |

Kitty, I didn't like this. It isn't your style and the vocals weren't good. I think you could be in trouble tonight. |

Not good comments for Kitty, is she in trouble tonight?
Now we go over to the last remaining 2009 act and with a cover of a Winter Chart hit, it's Despina Pilavakis! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5Yo2-_Baog |

Despina
Oh Despina, your mentor may have just ballsed up your chances tonight with that song choice. To sing a song that was sang on the show just 2 or 3 shows ago is a huge no no in my eyes. And if you are gonna do it you gotta do it 100 times better than the first act. But for me The Risk sang this song in week 1 and sounded so much better. I fear for your position tonight. |

Hey guys, just wanted to quickly pop on and say i am sorry i couldn't make it. Regarding Leannes song choice, if you look at the release history on that wiki page, in the US, the digital download release was in December as was the cd release in america. I had asked Soppyfan beforehand and he had said release dates in the US were allowed.

I thought that was a beautiful performance, who cares if someone sung it a few weeks ago? All that matters is the vocals, and they were spot on! |

Well done girl, that was another great performance from you. I had two reasons for picking this amazing cover. Firstly, I had an argument with someone last week about picking obvious song choices. This is how you pick a mainstream song and make it into an unpredictable performance. Secondly, I wanted to shake things up a bit with you this week. For me, both of those things worked perfectly, and you just gave a stellar performance. The added jingles and such also gave it a bit of a Christmas vibe, which is always nice too. Anyway, well done and I hope you get the votes tonight! |

How about we judge the vocals tonight and don't post petty excuses for putting an act at the bottom of your vote? |
