Great comments overall for Despina, that should be enough to see her through.

Now we go back to the 2012 class and hoping to keep up their momentum as contenders, it's District3!

District 3

Guys I am sorry to be the nasty judge but for your mentor to give you a song to sing when you have already covered it and there is a clip on youtube is another huge no no. Up to this point guys you have been doing well but after that I am fearful of you place as it would seem your mentor hasn't put much effort into your performance.

I agree with Stephen, you really shouldn't have been given a song you have already covered. The vocals were great, but I am very disappointed in your mentor.

District3

That was a pretty good performance guys, at least good enough to secure yourselves a place in the fifth live show. However, I'd like you to sing something else than acoustic covers of popular pop songs sometime, as what you're doing now isn't exactly spectacular.

Ouch! What a huge knockdown for District3, are they suddenly in trouble tonight?

Now for the last 2010 performance, with a different version of a huge Christmas hit, it's Elesha Moses!

Note: (Imagine that there is no Tim McGraw)

Elesha

Well well well Elesha, I can finally put my nasty side away and just say that was a great song choice from your mentor tonight. I thought when I first saw the song that it wouldn't have worked very well but I am glad to say I was wrong. It was delightful and got me in the Christmas spirit.

Elesha, that was exquisite! You had a lot of praise last week, and I hope that happens again this week. Great vocal performance.

Elesha Moses

That note was hilarious by the way, but that's not what I wanted to say. That was another good choice from your mentor there. This is the second Christmas song your mentor has picked tonight, and it was so much better than the last one as it kept your style intact and allowed you to use your phenomenal vocals. Ignoring Tim McGraw was difficult at times, but aside from that this was a good performance!

Amazing comments for Elesha for a second week, even our own "Mr. Scrooge" was impressed.

Now for another 2012 performance and going back to her Country roots, it's Carolynne Poole!

Carolynne

Carolynne I am so glad you have finally went back to your country roots again as this is definitely your unique selling point. It wasn't my favorite performance of yours but it was still a good performance tonight which I hope will see you through to the next show.

Carolynne, I've always wanted you to sing a country song! That was a great choice from your mentor, the vocals were great.

Carolynne Poole

It seems that Carrie Underwood is used for you in every single game you're in. Maybe because she's a decent choice of artist for you. However, I have one big problem with this performance - because you performed a country song it felt very summery to me, while the theme is winter songs... Aside from that, decent performance. Well done!

Great comments overall for Carolynne, we'll see if the public agree.

Our penultimate performance comes from the 2011 class, with a cover of a winter hit, it's Jade Richards!

Jade

Jade I so wish I had the time to pick a proper song for you. Although with the late late song choice aside it was still an absolute magical performance tonight. Your voice has the potential to move people emotionally and that's exactly what it has done tonight. I hope people will continue to support you so I can have a proper think about the next theme and get a really good song choice for you.

Jade Richards

Jade, I hate to say this, but I wasn't impressed by this. The vocals were a bit disappointing. The cover version was practically identical to the original Little Mix version.

On a short break so have time to respond to some comments.

Leanne's song choice was not a rule break. It was released digitally and physically in December in Americaso please do not take that into account when voting.

Also, how am i supposed to know all of the covers District3 have done as GMD3? What should matter is the performance in terms of vocals and arrangement. I did not know these boys have covered that song before and it would be impossible for me to keep track of them all.

Jade Richards

I believe I said this last week Jade, but I'm still waiting for you to embrace your husky vocal more. Also, I could clearly hear a backing track during the performance, while I know you can easily sing without one. One final thing, it could also be argued that this is in fact a rule breaker. Cannonball was released in either May or October (Ireland/UK), which clearly violates the rules. A counterargument would be that Little Mix's version was released in December, but that's technically a cover version so the release date should be invalid. I don't know what Soppyfan thinks about this, just thought I'd mention it.

You're right about this, the other judges are pulling all stops to make sure their acts will be safe tonight. It's perfectly normal though, I've seen it happen so many times on other games as well.

So it's not good comments for Jade and well spotted EoS. This one will definitely have a rule breaker tag!

Time for the final performance of the night. Closing the show and hoping to not be in the sing-off again, it's Jake Quickenden!

Jake

Jake, that was a very samey performance as to when you sang on the real show at bootcamp. This didn't wow me in any way shape or form. You were saved by the public last time but after tonight I am extremely fearful as I don't think you are at the same standard as the others

*Yawn* Jake, it's no secret I'm not a fan of you, but that was just painfully boring. Vocals were same old same old.

Jake Quickenden

You've been in the sing-off twice in a row now, and I don't think your mentor has figured what the reason for that might be. I personally think the reason is the fact that you're constantly singing very samey songs. If you're safe tonight, I want your mentor to shake things up and bring out the unpredictable for you, as you DO have the potential to go far if you're given the right songs. Oh, and being the rule breaker police today, this song was released in September according to wikipedia. The album it was on was released in August, so that's no excuse either...

Not good comments for Jake once again and with another rule-breaker here, is he destined for his third sing-off?

Well that's it folks, all 10 acts have sung tonight and wasn't it a lively evening!
Well the chance to have your say starts now because the lines are now open!

Here's a reminder of all of tonight's performances:

Spoiler

So viewers, send me your rankings of 10-1 to me. Judges can vote as well and also for their own acts. The lines will remain open until 8:40pm where we will have another group performance and then the results and it's only a SINGLE elimination this time, so ONE act must leave the competition for good. Don't let that be your favorite...in the meantime, feel free to discuss about tonight's show here.
