didn't know the limits of his voice. should have known his range and worked it to his own advantage.
as it is, he had a penchant for tackling big songs with ambitious arrangement and was often found wanting.

Well that VT in Wk3 when Gary highlighted all his bum notes, wasn't helpful - never seen a mentor do that. I think by week 3 TPTB decided to dump him - Chris was way out in lead so Gary would have one act left.
I thought the songs he was happy to sing - Let Me Entertain You and Get What You Want, were just not him or he tried too hard as in week 2 with the awful mash-up. He kinda lost his own identity, but I doubt he had that many voters - what XF voting demographic did he appeal to? |

Bland singing voice
No originality in performances Looked dull and boring Everything he said was pretty boring His speaking voice was quite 'dorky' He had no charisma whatsoever Taking all of the above into account, he carried himself as though he was some kind of rock star, which just made it even worse. |

All of what everyone has said here and more! Im surprised he was in garys top 3. Chris dhouldve always been there before him, hence why he won public vote, that said i dont velieve Chris shpuld be as far as he his now. Obv it should be Ella but people didnt pick their phones up that week and Chris's fanbase did. In a predictable world Chris wouldve prob been out 5th 4th if it was ranking in talent. If Lucy hadnt left lots of things also couldve happended. But the likes of Kye, Caroline, Melanie and Jade were always going first. all excellent voices but nothing else to back that up! Its not about just great vocals anymore.

Great first audition but after weeks of the live show he still looked and sounded like an amateur chimney-sweep in a talent contest.
He didn't have the X Factor, is the bottom line. Not in looks, personality, charisma and he sang the wrong songs and some of them out of key. Gary did not mentor him well in the song choice department and actually slagged him off for his vocal performance one week, that hardly helped. You need an element of showmanship and variety - sadly this has been lacking amongst virtually all contestants this year except for Rylan, who in turn didn't have the 'chops' to win. Almost everyone else has done the same thing every week and what they do isn't original enough or at least as good as the original they are copying. |

On a good day, he sounds great and entertains, but when you step back, you can't help but think that "there's something missing."

I agree - there were other people who had better presence than Kye - His voice was OK , but nothing special. Couldn't believe that Gary was so keen to mentor him. I'd have put Nicole or Brad through over him.

Easily forgettable. All I remember from his audition was him being a chimney-sweep.

Very, very ugly.
No stage presence whatsoever, in fact, it came across as really desperate. No charm or charisma. Above all, no talent. I quite liked that he said he already had an album of songs ready to record. Good for him writing his own music. I quite liked his singing and I wish him well. |

He was boring, had an unremarkable talent and was very unsexy.

His week 2 performance was utterly dire and probably killed what little momentum he had. That being said his last sing-off was probably one of the better vocal performances this year - it's been such a crap season lol.

If you're boring, housewives will still vote if they want to bang you. Sadly, Kye was not sexy enough.
