If this is true then it's a crime. She should get out there and start gigging and building a fan base. I would buy a ticket to hear her sing.

There are a lot of venues that hire her - she has a big voice.

Never give up on your dream if you want it bad enough you can achieve everything.

I'm not in Ireland, but in similar circumstances. Something will come along soon!

It wasnt really her size that was the problem, more the tatoos and harsh drawn on eyebrows and the fact she didnt smile much. She was hard to warm to. I think if she'd auditioned looking like a young girl with a cute smile and an innocence about her (like Ella had), then she would have got to live shows over sophie habibis.

The country is full of people working in shops, offices, factories etc who had a dream that never came true.

Sad but those dreams only become a reality for the lucky few and the rest still have bills to pay.
Yeah, Einstein worked as a clerk in the patent office till he got his big break. He was very good at sums and played the violin badly (like Sherlock Holmes). Probably not the most helpful of examples but the best I can do.

It's a good example: relatively speaking.

Didn't his nan pay them?
I didn't know that Jahmene has a generous Nan too. Are you sure that you didn't cofuse him with Christopher Maloney and his famous Nan?

Why? Because she has to earn a living regardless of her talent, just like millions of other people? That's not criminal. It's reality.

Yeah, that's all well and good and very nice, but one also has to pay the bills and living expenses. I totally agree she should follow her dream but what's she supposed to live on in the meanwhile, fresh air and optimism?

I do hope she makes it as she's a talented lass.

I already answered that, whilst you were quoting me did you not read the bit about "she should get out there and start gigging and building a fan base. I would buy a ticket to hear her sing. There are a lot of venues that hire her - she has a big voice"

She has had a large enough showcase on TV to present some kind of show reel to a manager who could book her some gigs.

It's a shame when someone that says something positive - instead of the usual "Haha! What a flop!" comments - should get shot down. She wasn't even one of my favourites.

I prefer to read something positive then negative. You where just trying to say I think not to give up her dream as well as her doing her Asda Job.

I doubt it, what about all the no hope wannabees who come on and say that it's their dream and they want it more than anything? You need loads of talent and good bit of luck to be a success.
I want to be a millionaire but unless I win the lottery I've got no chance.

does she?! i didnt realise it seemed like she still lived with her mum and it said she was a student but she must be finished by now

I agree good on her for getting a job but i would say its a shame when people dont pick a career because they're waiting to be discovered as a singer/actor/etc. I know someone else who has always worked in the corner shop as she is waiting to be discovered as a model and is now late 20s

Good for her - having done my time on supermarket tills just to pay the bills and put food on the table for my kids - and it is bloody hard work.

A good pointer to what cr*p this whole dream thing is. The last five years - not even most of the winners have got a career out of their music and talent.
