His name keeps coming up in the "least favourite contestants" thread. I vaguely recall hating him immensely at the time but I really can't remember why.

He'd have been alright as an Oompah Loompah but he didn't have the X Factor.

No hate from me but he was sh*t.

Though his rushing the stage moment when Diana got voted off was genius tv gold

Wasn't that the winner's single that year? When Shit Collides?

Basically, he didn't have a strong voice and he was 'empowered' by the backing track and we could sometimes barely hear his voice. And he did flop after the show despite getting signed and releasing an album within 3 months.

No, that was the year when Alexandra won.

He was exceptionally untalented in the most talented year and undeservedly went incredibly far in the competition, predominantly through forced nationalism.

I liked him and voted for him to stay. Him and Diana were my favourites that year.

I didn't 'hate' him as such - but I did think he looked like an overgrown five year old

I just think he was the weakest of Simons three boys, and couldn't understand the judges praise for him (I'm sure he got a standing ovation one week)

It was only later we found out he'd pulled the most votes six weeks out of ten Unfortunately those same people didn't rush to buy his album

interesting why they couldn't sell him. Most of One Direction can't sing either, and didn;t6 on the show, and none of them are very good, but they somehow can be sold to American teens and pre-teens wheras Eoghan couldn't.

I just found him completely overhyped. His voice was very weak and you could barely hear him over the backing tracks. What really got on my nerves was how he thought he was much better than he actually was.

He is a boxer now.

I expect they'll be lining up a duel with Flintoff any day now

People took a little bit of their xenphobic vitriol off of Louis for a wee while and transferred it onto Eoghan - as I recall.

I think that was the main thing. It was possibly the most talented season of XF and this goblin like creature who couldn't really sing and had the charisma of a dead toad made it to 3rd place. Baffling

He had a weak voice and shouldn't even have gotten past the first audition. Plus, he always had this stupid constipated look on his face after singing. I wanted to kick in the telly each time he was on.

I remember he was a little cheese and very, very young looking for his age. I don't hate him but he wasn't my number one that year either.

I remember him scowling at having to sing a Britney Spears song, despite it being Britney Spears week. I mean, come on...
