Last time you joined us on I'm A Celebrity, Pauline won four stars for a disappointed (and hungry) camp, Charlotte and Whitney got into a blazing row, and the former was voted for the next bushtucker trial, Calamity Crane. Let's see what happened next....
Charlotte was shaking like a leaf when she arrived at the bushtucker clearing, although immediately admitted to Ant and Dec that she understood why she was voted to do her first trial to date. She was already panicking when she got to the crane and admitted that the beginning was the hardest part of the trial, but once she managed to work out how to operate the crane, she was ready to go. Despite missing a few stars to yelping over the critters amongst her, she drove herself to get the last six, and it was clear that she was over-the-moon to have collected the stars. Her fellow campmates were also pleased, with Amy saying in the Bush Telegraph that 'she seemed driven and raring to go, so you can't ask for more'.
Meanwhile, Greg and Heidi were picked to take part in the Dingo Dollar Challenge - something Greg was not thrilled about, as he admitted in the Bush Telegraph that he'd have preferred to work with someone more likely 'get on with it'. They would have to take it in turns to step over a lake of stepping stones to cross the lake, and ultimately retrieve the dollars. They were allowed two strikes - and after that, it'd be over. Despite Heidi messing up straight away on the first step, a move that didn't please Greg, her partner managed to devise the right technique in order to make sure they made it across, and they made it to the dollars, pleasing them both. When they got to the shop, they were able to choose from balloon animals or a space hopper - and despite both not being too impressed with the options, decided that a space hopper would bring a bit of fun and exercise to the camp. The question was 'What was Greg's winning jump in the London 2012 Olympics? A) 7.31m or B) 8.31m'. Amy, an avid follower of the Olympics, said straight away that she watched all of the day's events and remembered that it was 8.31m. They got the question right, and won the space hopper. Yay.
Finally, we met our two new contestants - Hollywood actor Warwick Davis, and soul singer Mica Paris. Both admitted that taking part in the jungle would be quite an experience, especially when thrown into their first trial - an overnight one, called Madhouse Motel. Both celebrities got on from the word 'go', especially when Warwick joked to Mica that he used to listen to 'My One Temptation' to send him to sleep at night - yes, I said 'joked'. However, the two seemed like two peas in a pod in the dark, although both admitted they couldn't wait to leave. While discussing who they think they'd see in the jungle, Warwick said he didn't want any reality TV nobodies, while Mica just wanted someone who could cook her up a nice kangaroo anus. Who'd have thunk it?
Tomorrow, two celebrities will be competing together in a trial entitled ‘The Bat Cave’. Let’s hear what they have to do…
“Two celebrities of your choice will become the jungle’s very own Batman and Robin, racing against the clock to find stars. One will explore the dark cave, whilst the other will give instructions – without being able to see one another. Who will you choose?”
Mica and Warwick haven’t entered camp yet, so are exempt from the trial. Vote for which TWO you’d like to see, and Val will have the result later!
