I simply cannot believe what I saw, and the endorsement of such a cringeworthy feature by the likes of Ian waite is quite apppalling, they will do anything to keep their jobs!!!!!! Iexpect some strictly top brass was inspired by the idiotic VT. of James they showed as part of their training............. I expect it will sweep the nation by Saturday!

I was opened mouthed when I saw it. I fully expected Zoe to say "and film it and we'll show the best ones through the week"

I really think it's time for me to stop watching ITT. Utter childish bolognese as Len would say.

I think It Takes Two is still a fun show even though Zoe is a bit over the top most of the time.

It would suit Cupid Stunt, aka Mary Hinge

And I quote...

Quote:
“if you'd like to send us a video of yourself doing the shimmy it might just make it on to the website or even It Takes Two.”

And I further quote...

Quote:
“Called 'The Strictly Shimmy' we'd like the whole country dancing at home along with our four finalists on the 22nd December.”

I have this horrible image of the four finalists dancing this at the start of the show with Bruce and Tess. And the audience.

It'll probably blend into the lyrical version of the theme tune and the professionals will try and salsa to the ruddy thing.

EDIT: Sorry, I'd forgotten they already tried that for the launch.

This is what TV producers like to call 'interactivity', but what I like to call 'Stick it up your jacksy, it's Saturday night and I'm sitting down with a box of liqueur chocolates.'

This is just a bit of obfuscation to deflect the attention of the viewers, (some of whom post on here) and are starting to notice the fact that there's only about ten minutes of ballroom dancing in any of the shows.

It's all a bit of an insult to the average person's intelligence, or put another way, all a bit; "The One Show" isn't it?

I hope they aren't going to use it as an excuse to get Bruce involved. This would be a bit of desperate attempt to try to stop his slide into obscurity.

I could tolerate it until that final awful move. No way in a million years would I do that!

Hang on, aren't we supposed to stand in front of the TV waving the TV remotes in our hands whilst doing this?

My granddaughter loves her Nintendo Wii, "Just Dance" game..........she's nearly six!

I wonder what age group they actually think watches ITT . In my world only the dedicated Strictly fans watch ITT .Most of my friends watch Saturday night and Sunday recored and Fast forward .None of them watch ITT . I could be wrong and surely kids are not all lined up watching interviews ? Yet the whole tone of the show is now silly , childish and aimed at the under 7:s /Makes no sense to me .

Well I think it's a super idea. And I'm eight (in dog years).

Next I think they should have a competition to write lyrics to the SCD theme, then Dave Arch and his wonderful wonderful orchestra can record it for charity. It would certainly beat any X-Factor act to #1.

You have to remember that Strictly Come Dancing is a show watched by whole families.

I love it too and I haven't scared my cat trying the 'Strictly Shimmy' so she doesn't mind.

Hmm.

That reminds me;

What did Basil Fawlty say about his wife Sybil?

"Specialised subject; stating the bleedin' obvious."

If you mean households, my "whole family" is me and my husband, and we won't be taking part.
