Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I cannot think of a single finalist in UK X Factor who is of Asian descent, in any series, except Zayn from One Direction.

Not one soloist, at all, who has been Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Korean, Pakistani etc.

I know this is just a coincidence but I thought it was interesting and wondered if anyone else had ever noticed.

It's like you said yourself though OP. It's just coincidence. Not really something I can say I've noticed purely because I haven't really looked for it.

The closest we've had was Charlie in Dannii's Judges Houses in Series 4 and Trucolorz who were too young to compete in Series 6 but who Louis allegedly planned to take forward to live shows in favour of Kandy Rain
