They can't stop it on Android, can they? Well, they can warn you etc, I suppose.
It isn't blocked on the iPhone, which is surprising. I used it to tether my iPad on the train the other day. |

my aerial blew down in the wind, so cant get free view , just gave me the excuse to get sky + , so since monday being using tv catchup on my laptop until they install it friday , but my BB has gone down again* so hence why im tethering!
* BT are really peeing me off only 2 weeks ago the speed dropped to 0.12mbps, and CS said they removed a speed cap on my line?! ( im on top package with unlimited downloads) however this wasn't the case and even plugging my router in to the master socket still didnt solve the problem. Open reach were due out but suddenly the speed shot up to 5mbps, until yesterday eve and now its back to 0.12mbps ! |

Depends upon when you acquired the Full Monty contract. As I recall, they launched February, and allowed tethering. Contracts issued after-I think-July do not.

They banned tethering exactly 6 months after launch so I suspect that it was in the T-Mobile business plan all along to pull a bait & switch con.
Then again you can't trust any operator these days as they advertise one thing but it's not what you actually get. (i'm looking at you unlimited texts (3000)) |

3000 texts is a text every 10 minutes of every waking hour of the month. The reason why they limit is to 3000 is actually to stop these PPI and spam texters from just abusing and sending out hundreds of thousands in one go.
It wouldn't affect an ordinary user, if they are sending more than 3000 a month then they probably need to go and see somebody. |
