Another haunting performance, this is going to be a tough one for the judges.
Jack, coming to you first, please give me the name of the act you're sending home and tell us what led you to that decision. |

Chiara I screwed up with you tonight and I actually couldn't be more sorry because I think you could be huge in this competition. Your performance in the sing off was honestly one of your best of the series and if you can do better than this then you can go far! So I send home Sumera

As expected, Jack sends home Sumera Espinel.
Soppyfan, who are you sending home tonight? |

Well, this was definitely one of the best sing-offs we ever had tonight! Sumera, you came out and you delivered something even more special than before. I REALLY do not want you to go out...and Chiara, what a transformation! That was so damm brilliant and a million times better than earlier, but you know that I have to back my own act and therefore, I have to send home...Chiara.

Going by his rankings, Stephen sends home Sumera Espinel...
Kev, that leaves you with the deciding vote. If you opt to send Sumera home she's going home, but if you opt to send Chiara home we'll revert to the earlier public vote in a deadlock situation. It's your call! |

Sumera, you haven't been consistent in the competition and for me, it just feels like Soppyfan doesn't really get you or have a particular direction in mind for you. On the other hand, we have Chiara who whilst being pretty good, didn't have a great night. Okay, I'm going to make a decision based on the sing-off tonight and who I think, moving forward has more potential, I therefore send home Sumera Espinel! Sorry Soppyfan

Bad luck strikes again for Soppyfan, who is now down to his last act... ![]() However, congratulations to Jack, who STILL had all four of his overs in the top 10! Theme anyone? |

Yes, I'd like to know the theme. Four acts in the top 10...that's gotta be some record for The Mix Factor.

Actually, it isn't. Niall had all four of his overs in the top 10 last series. He lost two acts in the following two weeks though, so if Jack survives next week he has set a record.

Theme
Okay, remember how I said that the next theme wouldn't be easy?
I'm about to confirm that, as the next theme is a Mix Factor classic. The theme is Let's Go Crazy, a theme that's produced quite some good song choices over the past two series. Basically, you can pick any song that's not even close to the direction you're taking your act(s) in at the moment. Whether you'll do this with a cover version or just by picking a totally different genre is entirely up to you. Just make sure you're not predictable, as the whole theme is centered around the unpredictable. I want to see totally wild choices next show, unlike anything your acts have sung before! Good luck judges! |

Prediction game - the results (show 5)
Tonight's bottom 2 was a bit of a surprise, so let's see how the judges did in the predictions department!
2 points bboy1988 unclekevo Soppyfan 0 points jackel1234 Leaderboard so far: 1st - bboy1988 (17) 0 2nd - unclekevo (12) +1 3rd - jackel1234 (11) -1 4th - Soppyfan (8) 0 5th - Lyriccs (2) 0 Finally, something changed! Kevin and Jack swapped places after Jack failed to correctly predict tonight's bottom two. On the edges of the scoreboard, Stephen increased his lead even further and Soppyfan caught up a little. Good luck finding your crazy songs everyone. The sixth live show is scheduled for Monday December 10th. I think we'll start at the usual 18:00 to give voters a larger voting window as I've noticed that really helps get us more votes. |

Didn't get to vote this week, big commiserations to Sumera and Soppyfan though
![]() Remember this theme from series 1! I think most of the acts were a bit hit or miss with it
