Which Girls Aloud album is the strongest?
have been getting so back into Girls Aloud lately what with all the buzz around the reunion and their Greatest Hits. Was wondering which album is everyone's favourite.
I've always thought Tangled Up to be a perfect pop album, it's so cohesive and all the tracks had single potential. But lately I've been rediscovered What Will The Neighbours Say and I have a new found appreciation for it, for the time it was released, it really was a very innovative pop album, Xenomania took some big risks on the productions but it paid off. I think Chemistry is probably their poorest offering, really lacks cohesion. Out of Control has moments of brilliance but is very forgettable at times. |

I love Out of Control. Some of the songs on there had the potential to be singles.

Chemistry is definitely my favourite. It's full of amazing tracks - Biology, It's Magic, Swinging London Town, Watch Me Go, Intro, Racy Lacey, Models etc.

Out of Control is my favourite, I especially love "Love Is Pain" - possibly my fave album track ever by them.
But I really like all their albums! |

"Which Girls Aloud album is the strongest?"
Don't know but if you send them all to me I can perform a tensile strength test and report back. I'll need multiple copies of each so I can find average values for each. |

I honestly love all of their albums, but i find it especially hard to choose between their last 3 albums, although, at the moment, i have been listening to Chemistry very frequently...i always enjoy playing it around this time of year, there's something very warming about the LP. I also reckon it's the only album of thiers that still sounds fresh and current...Swinging London Town, could easily be a hit still if released in this day and age.

Tangled Up will win the vote because it has so many amazing tracks but my personal favourite is Chemistry.
- It had all the ingredients that moulded GA into what they are today. It was different and edgy, telling the story of 5 young women living in London enjoying the nightlife and their experiences good/bad around it. Amazing! + Biology is one of the best pop songs of all time. |

Love Is Pain is a fantastic track, it's a pity they were so anxious to end the OOC era because it would have made a fantastic single.
Shocked to see no love for WWTNS? |

Tangled Up is their most consistent and well rounded album. It's just a great collection of pop songs and had the perfect balance between fun and the level of maturity the band needed. I'm surprised Sound of the Underground is ahead of What Will the Neighbours Say? Their first album was a mess and the group had such limited recording time that some of the producers had to provide vocals on a few of the songs themselves. If you listen to Mars Attack, for example, you'll notice that it isn't sung by any of the girls. Quote:
Yes why the hell wasnt love is pain released as a single? I do like untouchable but if they had of released LIP instead they would of carried on the top ten consecutive record they had

Tangled Up it has to be for me! Girl Overboard, Close To Love, Black Jacks, Call The Shots.. do I need to go on? Such a great album!
I also agree that Turn To Stone should of been a single! |

Out of control
The only from them I like because i loved how it flowed, i loved the theatrical elements in the songs and it felt more than just another girlband album, but an actual decent produced Pop album. |

It has to be Tangled Up for me, because of its epicness and its beautifully aggressive robot vibe
awesome songs like Sexy! No No No and Call The Shots, paired with hypnotic album tracks like Girl Overboard and Control Of The Knife (I remember feeling really gutted when they didn't release COTK as a single)

Tangled up and Out of Control are the strongest. I do like all their album apart from Chemistry, that album on the whole just disappointed me and i never listen to it anymore. All the others i listen to from time to time.

I am surprised to see people voting for their debut, I think other than the 4 singles its absolute garbage and you can tell it was rush recorded. Seriously one of if not the worst girlband debut album of all time for me.
My fave is Out of Control, I think it is a solid record with great singles though another few singles wouldn't have went amiss given how well it sold. |

The album was not the strongest, but it was good for a debut album.
Some Kind Of Miracle Stop Girls Allowed Love/Hate Boogie Down Love White Lies - all brilliant tracks. ------------------------------------ Love Is Pain would have been a terrible single, along with Turn To Stone and Fix Me Up they are OOC's low points! |

I think Chemistry. It's my favourite from them because it all flows, and even the weaker songs fit in on there. I always found Tangled Up to be weak in places although the stronger tracks are some of their best. Out Of Control would be a close second to Chemistry I think, although I've not listened to the whole album for a while.

Tangled Up with Out of Control/What Will The Neighbours Say a tied and close second. The debut is decent enough, Chemistry has a lot of hit and miss tracks (Why "Models" was not a single I'd love to know as that could have been HUGE) and is their weakest imo.

People are saying that Chemistry is their least favourite? Do you people not have ears? A classic of the modern era.

Tangled Up, and second goes to WWTNS. I liked Chemistry/OOC but they veered a little too far towards kitsch for me.
