I see. I couldn't match the timing of the start of the Kiki stuff with the voting dates. So thanks for pinning on that timescale of events.
I don't really blame Charlie too much though because the initial reactions about the yellow door seemed authentic enough to me. Although if you offered a big fat bloke a massive fish and chip supper he isn't going to say 'No' is he? He'll gobble it all up. I do blame the show itself though for corrupting the game when they didn't even need to. They have to contrive their stories don't they? They can't help themselves. They can't ever, you know, just let things happen naturally of their own accord. I hate the letters from home and phone calls thing in any of these reality game shows anyway. They always strike me as a contrived method of creating drama from an external source if the format of the show is too weak and isn't delivering enough by itself. The thing is that for this series they didn't even need to do it. It's almost as if they did it just because 'that's what you do' in these shows, so artificially tacked it on. I'd rather these shows focused on the internal developments within the framework of the environment of the show. Good series, but this Kiki thing tainted it a little for me. I think it did corrupt the overall final result, which I think is a bit of a shame. |

How gullible are you lot? Obviously that was a windup designed to get a backlash - and look who's benefited.
We're just really glad that Charlie won![]() ![]() and we just hate an innocent little girl like Kiki being vilified on a public forum(vilified by the way means to be spoken viciously of)

Kiki deserves all the vitriol she gets. She ruined the series.

They can' t run a level playing field though without fundamental changes to their tasks. If you look at Ashley's early successes she did well on tasks that girls could excel in, and similar to those which Stacey had cemented her early lead with. No one else got those tasks. David took the areoplane task for himself - even though Charlie wanted to do it, and said she was Ok with heights. Net result - David gets points and airtime- Charlie doesn't. Unless you have lots of people on group trials that fit those people - and different sorts of trials for the likes of Colin Rosemary and Linda - someone is always going to be better placed. if you introduce an emotional story element for one campmate that can give her more of an advantage or just counter advantages that fell other people's way earlier on.
But when the external world is brought into the equation it undoubtedly corrupts the very premise of the show and the very nature of what it's supposed to be. It's worse on Big Brother though where they now have friends and family of the housemates voting to evict other housemates. Keep friends and family the *uck away. And that includes those mawkish letters and phone calls. |

I'm surprised at the backing Ashley got right from the start.

She won it off the back of Kiki, clear child exploitation that we've ever witnessed.

I think Charlie got it right...they were both winners, and David was the king.

Yes - amazing that. Charlie was within 0.5% of getting evicted instead of Rosemary. We could so easily have had a different winner - if Rosemary had maybe been a bit nicer to Hugo. That eviction vote 6 was really close between 2nd and 6th - anyone bar Ashley could have gone.
Eviction Vote 6 1 Ashley – 21.39% 2 Hugo – 16.81% 3 David – 15.97% 4 Eric – 15.67% 5 Charlie – 15.33% 6 Rosemary – 14.83% Jeez, if Rosemary hadn't 'had a go' at Hugo, I'm sure Charlie would most definitely have gone.Quote:

It's a discussion form and people are just using it to keep the IAC talk going a bit longer. |

The final was UK versus US - with only UK voting. That was why Charlie won the final showdown. You cannot blame it on KIKI

Some are overreacting, some are devastated, some are being nasty about a young girl of 8 years. Unnecessary.
I think the vast majority of people are just chewing the fat. |
