Sky Talk Weekends
Just got off the phone chatting to Sky CS about a tv upgrade, he then stated I had to have my Sky Talk evenings and weekend transfered over to the new Sky Talk Weekends, which obviously stops my previous free 7pm to 7am calls.
This is the first I've heard about Sky Talk Weekends, I never got a letter or an email. I've been with sky for years and years and wasn't at all pleased about this tactic. Anyone else had theirs transferred over? |

I had not heard of Sky Talk Weekends but sure enough on their website the only choice is weekends or Anytime. I'm not affected as I have the Anytime.
I don't think you can do much about it apart from not upgrade your TV package. You could threaten to leave but the retentions at Sky may not be able to put you on evenings and weekends if they are doing away with it. Edit: of course they could put you on anytime and not charge you. |

Im with BT and think some like evening and weekend calls. Its silly Sky are doing away with evening and weekend calls for not erveryone wants anytime calls.
In my case since mum died over a year ago we no longer use the landline phone as much as we used to during the day. So paying extra for an anytime call package would be a waste of money for us. Darren |

A daily call by my wife to her Mum in Ireland lasting 30-40 mins plus a few calls to Spain make it well worth it for us.

Had 2 emails come through saying "Thanks for choosing our award winning Sky Talk services" and"
"We're delighted to let you know that following your recent request we've changed your calls package from Sky Talk Freetime to Sky Talk Weekends". Obviously I didn't request or chose this transfer as the CS bloke told me I had to change. Rang back up and spoke to a lovely Scotttish woman and they are going to reverse the transfer back to Sky Talk Freetime and said it shouldn't have been moved in the first place. Just depends who you get as to how good the service is. |

I've got Sky Talk Unlimited and its worth it for me as I talk to a friend in Australia, Canada and the USA once a week and I time it so I'm just off the phone each time just under 1 hour.
