I think he could get to the final without actually doing anything..

Not just the luckiest contestant ever, probably the worst I've ever seen as well

Have to agree.

He's sailed through so far, only because he's on good terms with the PM, or lucked out on the winning side.
He's hardly said or done anything throughout the series, apart from being PM in the first episode, and that was with the ludicrous wet-suit/skirt combo, where his team lost!

He deserves to go, if only for the stupid boy-scout shorts he keeps wearing and the Liberace jacket in the boardroom.

Fashion expert, my #rse!!

His dress sense is atrocious. It makes me cringe big time!

I think it's a mix of luck and the good sense to buddy up to the pm. He hasn't a hope in hell of winning, but if your aim is to get an unceremonious firing at the first "all-in" boardroom, then he's doing very well!

In fairness, he did express concern about costings on a task and that was exactly what the final criticisms were. But he is not really a standout. Think he'll probably do well for himself, just not through this show!

He occasionally expresses concern about things but takes it no further - may as well not bother!

He's riding the love train baby.

When two teams go to war, Patrick's safe cos team-mates score.

He has slipped through L Sugars radar, half the time I wonder if he can speak.

At least, that's what the edit suggests.

Wonder if there's a 'Patrick steps forward into the limelight' story arc on the way?

He really is a lucky lad isn't he?

I wonder if Lord Sugar will give him his business card next week. He's set a bit of a precident by doing that for Andrew asnd Steven, but Patrick has hardly done anything to deserve it.

There is a part of me that wants Patrick to win. He's not very good, but there's something likeable about him anyway... besides, he's on a team with Maria next week, and I'd prefer him to win than her. But Lucy or Ashleigh should win.

He only won because he had the 2 sultry diva's in his team this week.

Maria is screwed next week. Poor love. Being partnered with Patrick.

Patrick's managed to sail by by not rocking the boat but now he's got no where to hide he'll be found out due to his poor public performance skills

But given its 3:1 against him he stands a chance just because they'll prefer a male v's female ending if possible

I thought Lucy was definitely a gonner, hoping it would have been 2 girls and 2 boys in the final.

Sugar doesn't care about that; on this year's adult series they had three men and one woman, and the one woman was fired first. And on Series 5, the interviews were one man versus four woman - he was fired first.

i don't see that he's any luckier than any of them. He is not as outspoken as Maria or Ashleigh, but he gets on with things in a more understated way. He managed to sell the umbrella things well enough and that probably saved the day There wasn't much profit in the portable loos when they were banging them out for £15.

Just because he doesn't fit a mould, doesn't mean that he's no good (quite the opposite actually)

In terms of actual creative talent, as opposed to winning the tasks set (which usually require tactics which would destroy any actual business) I would actually back Patrick over the others on the basis of what we know so far. Don't forget the trendy boutique was willing to buy a whole range to accompany his wetsuit kimono in the first task but wouldn't take a one-off piece. In the real world, he should be able to turn that creativity into profit with help.

I think his edit has possibly been unfair, and glossed over anything good he might have done...

He seems to have improved over the course of the show, but he definitely had a couple lucky breaks at the beginning that allowed him to stay in the process when abler candidates were fired.

I agree on both points .... and maybe in fashion. I rather love his individual sense of styling.
