From celebnews.uk.com - Union J already have a deal and it means they've "parted ways" with their Manager....

X Factor boyband Union J have signed a new Management deal with Louis Walsh.

In a shock move, Jaymi, JJ, George and Josh have parted ways with Blair Dreelan, who put the band - originally called Triple J and without member George - together.

Louis has spent weeks telling viewers Union J are "the next big boyband" and believes he can work the same magic that he cast over his previous groups Westlife, Boyzone and Girls Aloud.
Blair, who

A source, close to another of this year's X Factor acts, told http://www.Celebnews.uk.com "Louis is so excited about Union J, he genuinely believes they can be as big as One Direction and The Wanted but he needs control over them; having another Manager involved just wouldn't work".

The band are set to confirm the news offically this weekend.

Erm, I love Louis and I love Union J...but I'm not sure this pairing is right, as fun as it was on the show didn't like Blair that much but still.

Just hope there's a decent record deal in this.

I guess what it is saying is that Louis is their manager and will represent them in attempts to secure a record deal. That's fine but Syco will have first refusal and will be in no hurry. Nothing more will happen until after the tour, unless Syco see logic in getting them recording and releasing early which is always possible.

According to twitter, a few days ago they either got dropped or not picked up by Modest Management because Jaymi is gay.

I don't think this is true. Modest aren't representing any of the XF acts this year, are they? I thought they lost the XF contract after so many acts complained about them.

I'm pleased for Union J in the sense that Louis has a lot of experience and a lot of contacts, but I hope he isn't involved too much in the creative vision for the group. They need a really good marketing team behind them to lose the 1D comparisons but also to not be pigeonholed into the Westlife-style boyband type. I think they should really be pushing their voices and, if any of them have song writing skills, that too. Almost like a young Take That, but a bit cuter and more fun. We'll see how it goes! I'm just really relieved that Blair is gone.

I don't think so as Modest lost their contract with XF this year. Was probably just a rumour, but thank god they aren't with them regardless.

He managed Girls Aloud which were/are modern (although if Cheryl is to be believed he didn't do much with them). And yeah all of them write songs and seem to know what road they want to go down so I think they'll have a lot of control over their album.

Thank god Blair is gone.

They won't be remembered in 12 months time. People need a reality check. One Direction is just a phenomenon and a one off. They will be forgot about rather quickly. Just like some of the people who have left the show already and I have already forgotten some of their names.

Actually, you most likely are wrong. The vast majority of people who come off the X Factor go on to do nothing. Like Steve Brookstein, Leon Jackson and the countless others.

What makes Union J any different? I don't see it.

I'm not sure if Syco will sign them considering they have an act who is owning boyband market right now worldwide. Maybe RCA.

Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson were hardly tipped for success though.

All of last years final four were "destined to flop" and since then Little Mix have had two top 3 singles (one #1) and a top 3 album, Amelia's debut single went top 3 and Misha just got her first top 10.

I'm not saying Union J will be a success but you can't write them off when The X Factor isn't even finished yet.

Im not so about that. I bet if I was to go back to those series, you would hear comments about "fantastic singer", "going to sell so many albums" etc.

I actually worry about them because for weeks and weeks they got fed a lot of utter bullshit about being the next big boyband and selling millions of records etc when you have One Direction dominating that market.

So its not going to happen is it. Louis Walsh just lying to them basically.

No : he only has Jedward on his books at the moment, now that Westlife and his girlband Wonderland have split up.
