My darling cat Turbo, is missing,
I am so worried. He's such a home boy as a rule. I can only hope he's been locked in somewhere, and is just waiting to have the door opened for him, to charge home to me.
I know that in reality, the outcome could be so much more different to what I hope, but I have to hope. Turbo I've posted flyers through all the houses locallly, walked the lanes and driven roads to try to see him. The Vets have put up a poster (he is chipped too) and my postman has a copy of the poster in his van and is also keeping an eye open for him. I'm talking to any dog walker that comes down the lane that I see, to ask them to look out too. But there's nothing, no news at all. I feel like my heart is breaking. He was/is my babe. Always came up to sleep on the bed at night and would flump down next to me. I miss him so much. Come home Turbo, my sweet boy, |

So sorry to hear about Turbo. How long has he been missing?
You have done as much as you could possibly do. There is not much I can add to helping. I feel for you as I know what it's like hoping for their return. I hope so much that he comes home safe and sound. Fingers crossed. |

Oh my dear I can totally sympathize with you. It appears that most of us in this forum have been in your position. Get in touch with the Sspca and all cat charities/catteries in your area. We were advised to put fluff from the hoover around the garden to help entice our Els home. 11 days later the Sspca brought him home. Tears all around. Your wee soul has probably been locked in. The other thing and I really hate this bit is contact the environmental health dept of your council, they will tell you if a cat of your description has been found on the roads. It is better to know than always wonder and worry. Your Turbo is just so gorgeous. Good luck and huge hugs. xx

Thank you all. He's been missing since Monday lunchtime, so for Turbs, it's quite some time to be away from home. I've been told to put his litter tray outside also, as that might help bring him home.
I'm going to go through the village again tomorrow and knock on peoples doors, to ask them if they've seen him. It's so easy to just glance at a flyer and discard it without really looking at it. So I hope, with it being the weekend, I might catch people in. I'm going to hold off calling Env Health till Monday, just in case he does come back over the weekend... I hope with all my heart he does. |

Hi Shuttermaze I feel terrible putting that thought into your head re phoning the env dept. I remember phoning in floods of tears when Ellis had gone missing, god was looking out for him then. Thankfully. He had crawled into an outside wall vent leading into a bathroom (under the bath) of a neighbouring house. Although posters were up they had no idea who he belonged to. I think its an excellent idea to go knocking. Don't give up hope my dear and good luck. x

good luck - start searching as soon as you realise they're missing cos every second counts - when you walk round the village take some of his biscuits and shake them and call his name and then be v quiet and listen for a miaow.
i hope you find him xx |

Hope Turbo comes home soon. Maybe you could ask your neighbours to check their back gardens and sheds just in case he's been locked in accidentally. Good luck. xxx

I know it's hard but try not to worry, my merlin was always a bit fluty, disappearing for a few days every few weeks, but he went off in August and didn't come back, I presumed he'd been run over etc, but he showed up last week, full of worms :/ but otherwise healthy, he's obviously found another home as he's fat (despite the worms) and flea free. Since he came back new been in all day every day, so they do come back, even after long periods of time.

I so wish that was the case. Sadly, my darling boy still isn't home. I'm having to try to come to terms with the very high possibility I'll never see him again, and it's breaking my heart. I've walked the lanes and fields beyond our home so many times, The neighbours have checked sheds and outbuildings etc. I've put up posters in the Vets and Post Office, and uploaded his into on cat shelter websites etc; but still no sign of my wonderful, funny boy. Thank you all for your lovely comments, and if ever my Turbo should return, I promise I will post to let you know. Ohh, how I wish he would. xx |
