I just received the tablet and case I ordered under the cashback offer. The cashback requires a copy of the receipt/invoice but the delivery only included a letter listing the contents and how to return if there is a problem. Does this count as the receipt/invlice?

I filled in the claim form online and they didnt ask for my bank details just my name and address and proof of purchase etc . I got a confirmation email saying it will be checked in a few days and it could take upto 49 days before I get the cashback , I dont mind that as long as I get it back

Trading standards should have stopped them printing those big 'after cashback' prices on items, with a tiny real price, and probably would have if they weren't so toothless. You should try telling the DSG sales munkeys you will pay half now and they can claim the rest in 80 days, see how keen they are on 'cashback' prices deals then! |

Currys CON
Hi all, This seems to be the only forum following up on the Currys Offer, so have joined what i hope will be an enjoyable forum.
Went to register today for my Tabllet & case Cashback offer. Despite the advertisement being very clear about it being with any case, you now have to select a case from a "surprise" manufacturers list. The case I bought is not in the list so cannot complete registration. Have emailed "help", awaiting response, will let you know. |

The T&C of the Currys deal are here: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cashbac...ommercial.html As far as I can see, clause 2 is pretty clear: "2. Qualifying Tablets and qualifying cases include all products purchased through Currys / PC World." On the other hand, clause 17 is a classic get-out: "17. Currys/PC World is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the participant from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the promotion. Currys cashback
Some progress maybe . On line claim form has changed slightly .Photo upload page now gives 2 choices ,upload on line (still doesnt work! ) or email photo of receipt to "Staples " !?! . (Didnt know DSG owned Staples). Any way clicked that option and got an email back from currys requesting photo of receipt ,that worked and I now have an email saying validation complete I will receive a cheque within 42 days -I wont hold my breath !
Leaves a few questions 1) Why has a Staples page been included in the currys cashback form? (Third Party contracted to handle the cashback offer ?) 2) What chance has someone non computer literate actually got of getting the cashback. 3) Although the on line claim form has changed slightly, and I've (apparently !) managed to succeed in claiming the cashback .I still havent had a reply from currys to my original shitty email demanding they sort out the problem. Guess what got to go through the whole palaver again in a week as I bought someone a Kindle Fire and case for Xmas !! |

Currys Con Continued
After just over a week, Currys Customer Service finally called.
It seems the any case as advertised does not apply and it had to be a Tablet Case, therefore no £20 Cashback. |
