how do i remove write protection?

i have a new phone and theres a few tunes on it that i wanted to remove to have more memory.when i conected it to the computer and tried to delete them it said i had to remove the write protection.i havent a clue what to do.anybody got an idea?

Even if you deleted them ,why do you think this would give you more memory? What sort of memory? How much more?
Rooting a phone and using the appropriate file manager would work, though not sure if it would really achieve anything.

the 3 tracks i tried to remove are using just over 13 mb so i thought getting rid of them would give me that 13 mb extra.is that not the case? i havent a clue how to root a phone or use a file manager.
