I didn't take great umbrage to his Twitter rant, if anything it made him more interesting, all adding to the persona of the tortured and pained artiste. I objected to him thinking negative opinions should be silenced, or that someone choosing to compete in a talent show should be given an easy ride when all others who chase fame and money are not. Put yourself in the limelight - don't complain if the glare is too harsh.
He's been my favourite throughout, and I hope he wins or at least comes runner-up. I know he will be the one who will sell more in the UK than any of the others, and even if he isn't necessarily hitting number 1 after his debut I believe he will have a long recording and touring career.
And I hope he forgives DS posters enough to come to DS's 'studio' and do an acoustic set of 3 or 4 numbers, as some previous X Factor notables have.
