Pretty stupid betting considering he's the only one who has been in the bottom two and voting leaks suggest he wasn't all that popular to start with.

I think he'll come 3rd.

I think James has the best voice but he always looks so miserable and I feel this will go against him. I have a sneaky suspicion that Chris is going to win

I think being in the bottom 2 has given him a better chance of winning. I won't be surprised if he has topped the votes since then. If he doesn't come 3rd, he will win.

Louis and Tulisa will push for a James win which could have an impact, and also I think the producers want a James win because he's likely to be more successful after the show - something that I think is important for the public's perception of the show moving forward considering the lower number of viewers this year.

Sounds like a scam, James is not even going to be in the top two

It's now been 3 weeks since he was bottom two though, any 'shock' effect has since wore off, and it's not like his supporters wouldn't vote in the final regardless.

I just don't see him winning over the traditional X Factor acts like Jahmene and to some extent Christopher. But then again a girl group won last year so who knows.

James will be runner-up

tonight chris and jahmene will split some fans vote meaning one will be knocked out tonight tommorow those votes will be combined and one of these will more likely win.

which goes with the theory if you have been in bottom 2 aka james the best you can hope for is runner-up.

Forget the bottom two thing. James has topped every poll which has led people to put money on him and led him to become favourite.

Now you may so well so what his fans not traditional voting types. That's true. But he's topped almost every poll by having over 50% of the 3 way vote. which is a pretty considerable lead.

Yeah , you think Jahmene has the best voice , what make of TV do you have ? I might rush out to Curry's and get one before the final so I can see what you're talking about .

This year's X Factor Australia winner was bottom two a total of three times!

I agree with you to an extent, but if you look at the liverpool vote too in the past - Ray Quinn, Rebecca Ferguson, Marcus collins - they tend to get second too.

I think there's a big anti-chris vote, bigger than the anti-anyone else vote which works against Chris if he makes the top two. Wouldn't be shocked if Chris had the most votes at the end of tonight when one is eliminated, but comes second after it becomes head to head.

These people are rarely wrong as predicting it right is their business. James has been all over the media this week compared to the other two. Also whilst Christopher may well have been leading each weeks vote, ever week a contestant leaves and their fans transfer their vote for someone else. Also no doubt both shows this weekend will see James getting 100% positive comments from panel and any guest who's asked for their opinion. Meanwhile Chris will be damned with faint praise at the very best. If I was a betting man yes I'd put a quid on James.

Marmite acts never win - yes James is popular but there is still a large number of people who don't like him. Can't see him getting much of the 60+ vote either...

I think he'll come 3rd... but I also predicted on the first week of live shows that he would 'get nowhere near the final' so I could be laughably wrong again.

That is not at all true as they get it wrong most weeks.

Using that logic the winner would be Jahmene.. Chris is also Marmite.

Extremely - agree with you, this is Jahmene's competition to lose.

Yeah i think you underestimate his reach. While he has most of the youth on his side, a lot of older people liked some of his versions, and i think he'll go down well with the purists.

So few people vote in the early weeks now that you can't really take it as a true representation of popular opinion. It doesn't matter that he was in the bottom 2. We've seen acts hit bottom 2 one week then top the vote the next.

James has played a really good game by peaking at the right time - "Let's Get It On" and "The Power of Love" in the last two weeks have been his strongest performances in my opinion. It's usually the acts that get better as the weeks go on that win it. Jahmene has just been the same all the way through. Christopher might have been topping the vote but I suspect it's just because of the demographics of people who vote throughout the show. James' fans are more likely to be the sort of people who only vote in the final.

But wouldn't it follow that a lot of people who may have voted for James (i.e: 18-30 age group) may be more likely to be going out on a Saturday night so close to Chrstmas, rather than staying in watching The X Factor?

The older demographic will most probably decide who gets through tonight, imo.

I think James is going to finish third and last myself. No way is he the most popular contestant on the show this year.
